Essential Functions

What your 2nd-shift day looks like
You arrive ready to build high-conductance flexible circuits and intelligent wiring systems that power our customers' products. You review the work order, set up your station, and dial in the equipment to meet exacting customer specs. Throughout the shift, you inspect incoming materials, load them onto the machines, and keep a close eye on quality-performing basic checks and testing finished goods and packaging prior to shipment.
When something seems off, you pause the process, notify a lead or supervisor, and help troubleshoot. You keep production moving safely by operating electric and manual pallet jacks and other fixed or safety-sensitive equipment. Between batches, you prepare materials with safety knives, scissors, and tweezers, maintain accurate job-time and inventory entries in company systems, and move WIP efficiently between stations, onto carriers, and onto mobile racks. You don't leave a mess behind-your area stays clean, orderly, and compliant with safety procedures. Throughout the shift you contribute ideas to improve efficiency and recommend process tweaks to your supervisor.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a hands-on, hard-working, detail-oriented Blasting & Coating technician to join our team in building the Best Shooting Handguns in the World. This is a key role reporting to the Coating Department Supervisor; the successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and an extraordinarily high personal standard for quality.
JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
Abrasive blast fixtures and shields to prep for coating.
Abrasive blast parts to a uniform finish for coating
Perform maintenance on blasting machines and areas.
Utilize the wash line to clean parts.
Perform maintenance on the wash line and wash line area.
Assist in loading parts on fixtures and loading fixtures into the coating machine.
Operation of the coating machine.
Perform maintenance on the coating machine.
Examines to detect defects, scratches, or non-conforming areas on parts.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
Ensures that work areas are cleaned daily and that all work is accomplished well within all safety parameters.
Once proficiency has been reached on a specific operation, be capable and willing to train others.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess an above-average level of attention to detail and good judgment.
Must read and understand written instructions in the form of work orders and job travelers.
Ability to communicate concerns and requirements when performing job-specific activities.
Working knowledge of hand tools
A hands-on nature that lends itself to learning on the job
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to blast and store fixtures used in our coating process.

Essential Functions:
* Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
* Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
* Ensure all products conform to the customer specifications as outlined in SAP system.
* Perform analysis on raw materials, finished batches, treated water and/or any other programmed outlines by the department.
* Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials including packaging materials and determine status of materials as acceptable or unacceptable.
* Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor all aspects of finished product and packaging integrity.
* Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment application and operation is being maintained by performing secure seal, closure torque, can seam checks, and/or any other requirements required by the customer or the company.
* Stop any production which may be questionable in terms of Food Safety and immediately alert a member of the management team.
* Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests performed. Complete all other required reports (work orders, action reports, etc.) in a timely manner.
* Perform analytical tests required to qualify ingredient batches for production.
* Perform production line checks at specified intervals.
* Ensure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.
* Report all out of specification results to designated leadership.
* Complete special projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership.
