Position Overview:
Join our team as a Physical Dimensional/ Mechanical Calibration Technician, ensuring precision in measurement instruments. This position is imbedded in our client's location full time Onsite Technical Service (OTS).
Responsibilities:
Calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, pressure, temperature, humidity, torque, etc.).
Issue and review calibration certificates.
Manage data entry and monitor orders.
Assist with inventory control and customer service communication.
Perform office duties, maintain lab cleanliness, and support workflow.
Assist in electrical equipment calibration and testing under supervision.
Prepare technical reports and other documentation.
Handle additional assigned duties.
Requirements and Skills:
Experience calibrating test equipment (Physical Dimensional or Mechanical).
Customer service, administrative assistant or data entry experience.
DOD, PMEL, or Military calibration background preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to error-free work.
Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills for team interaction and client collaboration.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate CMM equipment to perform precise measurements of machined parts
Program CMM machines using appropriate software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to determine measurement requirements
Conduct first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to verify product compliance
Document and report inspection results, including any deviations or non-conformances
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency

We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded individual who has a desire to jump in and learn our injection molding machines and processes. If hired, you'll spend 9-12 months working through a robust in-house training program, designed to develop you into a technical leader at Royal. In house, we call this role a Molding Supervisor. You'll both manage a small team of molding operators as well as spend the majority of your time on the floor, assisting with molding changes and troubleshooting issues within our bay. Based out of our Cullman, AL facility, this position reports to the Production Manager.
Core Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment. Problem-solve in order to develop corrective actions for customer issues and ideas for improvement
Climb in and out of injection molding equipment in order to best perform mold and color changes
Prioritize production orders and oversee the production of quality products to ensure our customer standards and needs are met
Maintain the work area, equipment and molds to provide the team with an organized workplace and proper tools
Responsible for machine safety and for following all prescribed lock out procedures
Other Responsibilities:
Schedule team machine assignments and break coverage in order to hit daily goals
Work alongside current Molding Supervisors, learning how to lead a small team (3-6) in the execution of daily production tasks and in continuous improvement
Practice writing and conducting employee performance evaluations
Physical Responsibilities:
Ability to lift up to 55lbs
Prolonged periods of standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks
Bending and stooping
Ability to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)
Hand-eye coordination
All employees must wear approved safety glasses
Starting Wage: $26-$33.00/hr + quarterly bonuses What You'll Bring Qualifications:
Proven hands-on technical experience (work or personal) is highly preferred (utility, maintenance, process tech, etc.)
Experience with injection molding equipment is a plus
High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience
Willing and able to work 45-50 hours per week
Although this is a 3rd shift (12am-8am) position, there will be training required on 1st shift (8am-4pm)
