Tests and evaluates equipment performance. Utilizes effective PLC diagnostics and programming skills. Assists with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs on all equipment. Works closely with production supervisors to schedule PM activities. Train production operators on how to perform and assist with simple PM duties. Assists with developing and maintaining the equipment spare parts inventory. May complete purchase requisitions for the purchase of spare parts. Investigates causes of machine problems, raw materials, tooling and equipment. Recommends improvements to processes and equipment to improve efficiency. Properly documents new procedures and machine changes or additions. Accurately completes all paperwork associated with PM and machine downtime. May create special fixtures or modify existing equipment with the use of surface grinders, milling machines, arc welder, and lathes. Utilizes various diagnostic equipment and measuring devices such as voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, and oscilloscopes. Supports and participates in the Company's management and quality system including continuous improvement efforts. Experience: 2+ years' equipment maintenance technician in an automated assembly production environment Education: High School or Equivalent Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to operate / diagnose a variety of automated assembly production equipment within an electronics assembly (PLC's, sensing, robots pick/place).
