JOB SUMMARY:
The Graphics Production Technician at Astound is responsible for executing high-quality graphics production processes, including SEG (Silicone Edge Graphics) staging, large format printing, vinyl application, and maintenance of production machinery. This role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and a focus on quality control to ensure all graphic products meet client specifications and company standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Large Format Printing: Operate large format printers to produce high-quality prints on a range of materials including fabrics, vinyl, and rigid substrates.
Vinyl Application: Apply vinyl graphics on various surfaces such as windows, walls, vehicles, and displays with accuracy, ensuring a smooth finish without bubbles or creases.
SEG Staging: Collaborate with the staging and sewing teams to review and test the fit of SEG graphics on frames and structures.
Machine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on printing, cutting, and sewing equipment to ensure smooth operation and longevity.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for accuracy, consistency, and quality to ensure they meet the required specifications before delivery.
Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, project managers, and other production staff to ensure seamless workflow and on-time project completion.
Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing stock levels for printing and sewing materials, ensuring adequate supply and timely reordering.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience in large format printing, SEG sewing, vinyl application, and machine maintenance.
Strong technical aptitude with a good understanding of graphics production equipment.
Ability to read and interpret graphic layouts and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Experience in handling various graphic substrates and knowledge of different printing techniques.
Knowledge of software related to printing and graphics production.

Accountabilities:
Request, coordinate and track through completion vendor corrective actions
Develop new metrics and processes to improve material quality (for example: First Pass Yield)

Able to complete and publish End-of-Month Vendor Scrap Reports
Audit incoming and in-process pallets for non-conforming material
Audit current processes for identification of defects in material goods and process execution

What You'll Do:
As a Production Technician at Curaleaf, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality cannabis products by supporting every stage of the packaging process. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will:
* Stage products and packaging materials across production lines while performing quality assurance checks to meet daily schedules and Curaleaf's high standards
* Boost operational efficiency and minimize waste by taking ownership, collaborating with the team, and communicating effectively
* Conduct in-process and final quality checks, including testing, visual inspections, and precise weighing, while maintaining 100% compliance in data recording, product tracking, and secure packaging

Requirements:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintain efficiency to the approved standard.
Experience in setting up and launching first piece production.
Knowledge of different resins and their performance under various process parameters
Processing experience with both open and closed loop systems
Basic understanding of mold construction including types of material and mechanical function.
Maintain work area and equipment by cleaning, organizing, and keeping it in orderly condition.
Communicate with previous shift to receive important job information.
Communicate with supervisors when there are issues.
Complete other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate required.
