Responsible for the design, programming, implementation, troubleshooting, control and test of VFD based automation systems used in a wide array of equipment while working individually or in project team environment. Maintain data collection servers and communications. Install and troubleshoot communications related connectivity and PLC I/O field wiring. Maintain and troubleshoot backup generators and UPS system, spark and explosion detection/prevention system. Work with a diverse set of applications including HMI/Visualization programs such as RSLinx, RSview, PanelView, FactoryTalk View. Fiber optics, CAT-6, media converters and AB industrial switches. Communication protocols such as EthernetIP, OPC, DeviceNet. Control systems including PLC5, Micrologix, ControlLogix, and I/O including digital and analog feedback & control. Virtualization software such as VMWare Player/Workstation and Hypervisor. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Three (3) years of experience in industrial electrical work that includes: electrical design, schematics, and panel layout; programming drives, PLC's and HMI's. Performs proper patient identification, interprets patient histories and physicians' orders ensuring that all procedures are performed according to Parkland, state and regulatory standards. Set up and prepare room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment specific to procedures. Utilizes advanced knowledge of sterile and surgical techniques by practicing aseptic techniques. 3. Can speak to and perform the process of preparing contaminated instruments for cleaning, transporting contaminated instruments to sterile processing department, and how to retrieve clean sterilized instruments from sterile processing department. Assist with supply inventory by locating expired supplies and informing necessary personnel when inventory is low, depleted, or on backorder and takes appropriate action. 4. Accesses and handles selected medications and administers contrast. Administers contrast material in the correct dosage, route and observes patients for adverse reactions. Informs and assists physicians and radiologists with patient scheduling, patient transfers, and emergency cases ensuring that all preexam procedures are followed including allergic reaction and level tests. 5. Processes acquired images onto PACS. Ensures that images and records are properly completed with patient identification data and appropriate labeling. Completes exam charges and image documentation in a timely manner. 6. Operates and maintains equipment including warm-up, running quality assurance checks, calibration, provide routine troubleshooting procedures, request repair and notifying supervisor of maintenance needs. Maintains a record of quality assurance tests to ensure that equipment runs efficiently and effectively. Maintains all passwords to each computer system. Participates in all aspects of The Joint Commission Continual Readiness. 7. Serves as a lead worker and resource to other staff as needed. Instructs students and/or new employees on the use of specialized equipment to ensure adequate training and improved patient care. Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures that all processes and procedures are maintained to secure and protect all workstations in all work areas. 8. Responds to inquiries, calls, emails in a timely and professional manner. Communicates hand off regarding patient information, workflow issues, equipment concerns and/or pending exams. Serving people of all abilities in their life's journey is at the heart of what we do. **What You'll Do as Engineering Tech III (HVAC):** + Perform maintenance and repair to hydronic and refrigeration systems to include air handling units, DX coil/condensing units, fan coil units, and variable air volume (VAV) units. + Maintain, repair, or replace domestic and heating hot water boilers 1,000,000 BTU and below. + Maintain, repair, or replace commercial/residential HVAC systems under 25 tons. + Follow mechanical code for installing and replacing HVAC systems. + Mounts compressor and condenser units on platform or floor using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications. + Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts, using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment. + Installs evaporator unit in chassis or in air-duct system, using hand tools. + Cuts and bends tubing to correct length and shape, using cutting/bending equipment/tools. + Cuts and threads pipe, using machine-threading or hand-threading equipment. + Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings or unions, and solder joints, using torch, forming complete circuit for refrigerant. + Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connects control panels to power source. + Injects small amount of refrigerant into compressor to test systems and adds freon gas to build up prescribed operating pressure. + Observes pressure and vacuum gauges and adjusts controls to insure proper operation. + Tests joints and connections for gas leaks, using gauges or soap and water solution. + Replaces defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring to repair installed units, using electrician's hand tools and test equipment. + Other duties as assigned. **Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** **What You'll Need to Be Successful:** + High school diploma or GED. + Must have at least two years of recent/relevant HVAC experience in a facility and/or utility maintenance environment and/or formal/vocation training with the ability to perform the assigned duties. + Must possess EPA Universal Certification + Must successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check. + Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record. + If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s). + Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** + Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders.
