Job Description

Adheres to all FAA Regulations, the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), and all other approved data.
Performs non-destructive testing per applicable maintenance manuals, procedures, and written instructions.
May perform aircraft maintenance (including inspection), preventive maintenance and alteration.
Prepare necessary FAA, customer or company documents.
Complete and maintain other reports and records as required.
Accurately log computerized labor data collection for time and attendance tracking.

Able and willing to mentor others.
Able to communicate technical information clearly to supervisory personnel, flight crews and customers.

Qualifications

NDT technical courses, NDT Diploma, or documented Military experience in Ultrasonic Testing, Eddy Current or Penetrant methods
Must have required tools (see approved minimum tool list).
Turbine jet aircraft training and experience - Dassault Falcon models preferred
FAA Inspection Authorization certification preferred

Perform scheduled and ad hoc calibrations on various measurement instruments (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges) using both automated systems and manual processes. Compare device outputs against standard measurements, assess performance, and certify accuracy levels. Identify, diagnose, and address issues leading to calibration errors or deviations. Conduct repairs or adjustments on instruments to restore proper functionality and verify that they meet specifications after maintenance. Maintain detailed records of calibration procedures, results, certificates, and any corrective actions taken. Ensure all logbooks, calibration databases, and quality reports are accurate and up-to-date, in accordance with internal and external quality management systems (e.g., International Organization for Standardization standards). Follow established calibration protocols, quality control measures, and safety guidelines. Assist in internal and external audits by providing calibration records and supporting documentation. Continuously update knowledge of industry standards and calibration methodologies to ensure best practices. Work closely with engineering, production, or quality assurance teams to coordinate calibration activities and schedule maintenance. Position Summary: The Ballistics Quality Technician I is responsible for visual and dimensional inspection and performance testing of ammunition following control and test plans as well as testing to assist R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality on design for manufacturing and production issues. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform basic ammunition ballistics tests in accordance with control plans and work instructions based on Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturing Institute (SAAMI) or government test standards which may include chamber pressure and velocity, action time, dispersion, primer sensitivity, extraction, waterproofness, terminal ballistics, and function and casualty with supervision. Supports First Article and Lot Acceptance Tests as assigned.
* Follow the Red Tag process and notifies management clearly and completely of any nonconformities found.
* Review Bills of Materials throughout production to ensure components are correct and lot numbering is effective.
* Perform basic range inspections as assigned in accordance with written procedures.
