Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician 1/ Manufacturing Tech 2 based out of Clearfield, UT.
This position will support our B shift (4/10's schedule, WEEKDAY NIGHTS) production.
This role can be filled at a Manufacturing Technician Level 1 or Manufacturing Technician Level 2 depending on the qualifications below.
What you'll get to do:
As a Manufacturing Technician you work on the next generation composite structures.
This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based.
Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 1:
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, and kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds and working overhead

The Opportunity

The Special Process Technician will have responsibility for the operation and inspection of all types of processes, parts, and activities related to Machine Castings. Additionally, the Special Process Technician will:
* Operation and inspection of all types of processes, parts, and activities related to Machined Parts.
* Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
* Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
* Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.
* Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
* Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
* Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.

Qualifications
High School or GED and a minimum of six months experience. Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management. Reads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Production Operator I is responsible for using a variety of equipment and machines to perform assembly, inspection and packaging of products per work instructions. Follow all standards for cGMP, safety and quality while performing the assembly, inspection and packaging of products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures to perform manual preparation and assembly to assist in the production of products.
Load component materials into product specific tools, load boats, nest and T-tops and perform inspection of components.
Assist in the production of components and products by setting-up, cleaning, and maintaining equipment by following sterile procedures.
Follow established documentation for product manufacturing.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), internal protocols and SOPs, following all safety rules and regulations, and wear correct PPE.
Engage in continuous job knowledge learning by participating in training opportunities.
Comply with all policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous production/manufacturing experience required and will determine Operator Level
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing manufacturing duties, cross training and rotating between different functions
Lifting and moving product as needed, which can occasionally be up to 50lbs
Comfortable working in a clean room environment

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is located on-site in Layton, Utah.
Join our team as a Production Technician and put your skills to work in a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing environment. You'll perform a variety of processes-composite fabrication, resin infusion, assembly, mill operations, metrology, oven processing, and waterjet cutting-while applying your NDI Level II expertise to set up and calibrate inspection equipment, interpret results, and ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and specifications. Your precision and technical knowledge will help us deliver high-quality products that meet the most demanding requirements.
The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Technician:
* Reads, interprets, and follows pass downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, work instructions and other technical and non-technical documents
* Assemble and fit aircraft structural parts and subassemblies
* Perform test fit and gap checks with high tolerances
* Performs countersinking activities
* Perform structural adhesive bonding preparation per product specifications and compliance programs
* Align, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components, using jigs, fixtures, measuring instruments, hand tools, or power tools
* Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies
* Layout and mark reference points
* Keeps work orders stamped, dated and organized
* Vacuum bagging in order to prepare parts for drop tests, de-bulking fabric, and infusion
* Performs tabbing operations to work order specifications
* General sanding and finish work using grinders and sandpaper as needed
* Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition
* Packages and crates parts for shipment, including shrink wrapping
* Has knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal, written, and drawing requirements
* Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
* Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

QUALIFICATIONS

Responsible for performing quality inspections using the various NDT methods as applicable (X-Ray [Film and CR], Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing). Responsibilities include processing, inspecting, and evaluating surface and subsurface discontinuities and accepting, rejecting, or reworking hardware in accordance with customer specifications.

Primary responsibilities include locating, identifying, and mapping campus utility systems in Esri ArcGIS located on the Utah State University's Main Campus and Regional campuses throughout Utah. This position will report to the MS4 Coordinator/Engineering Tech SR.
Responsibilities
Reviewing and approving Digging Permits. Job responsibilities require close coordination between internal USU personnel within the departments of Facilities and IT, as well as outside contractors and engineers, and the cities of Logan and North Logan. Position also coordinates with outside utility entities.
Prepare digging permits for construction work.
Prepare utility maps for digging permits for contractors and maintenance technicians.
Provide support to interpret and locate utilities.
Make field measurements of underground utility and building structures using survey equipment.
Update and add utility information in the campus GIS utility mapping system.
Attend planning, design and pre-construction meetings to keep informed on current and upcoming projects.
Support the Engineering Senior Tech with inspections of utility construction work to ensure safe and efficient installations that meet applicable design and construction standards.
Help assist the Engineering Senior Tech to oversee testing of newly installed utility systems.
Coordinate with outside firms to provide as-built documentation for utilities and review for accuracy.
Provide utility information resources as needed to internal and external entities during campus utility outages or emergencies. Understand security sensitivities of utility distribution information and safeguard university information assets.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of relevant experience.
Must have a good understanding of utility distribution systems and their functions in order to recognize, classify, locate, and advise appropriate constituencies to ensure efficient and safe access to, and proper utilization of, all campus utility systems.
Must have the ability to understand Utah Blue Stakes processes to ensure safety of USU utility lines.
Basic knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings and maps.
Familiarity with the basic operation of office software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of current direct experience, or prior relevant experience obtained within the last three years executing many of the listed responsibilities of this position for a college, university or hospital campus, or business park setting with an emphasis on multi-facetted underground utility distribution systems.
Recent relevant experience gained from working in architectural or engineering offices on planning, design, or project management involving on-site utility systems.
Proficiency in using survey equipment.

This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing. **Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 1:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications
+ Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, and kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds and working overhead
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.

Primary Level Salary Range: $17.45 - $29.09
Secondary Level Salary Range: $20.72 - $34.57
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Special Process Technician to join our team on 2nd Shift in 8534 Sheet Metal.
The Special Process Technician will have responsibility for the operation of presses, laser cutting and material handling for sheet metal processes. He/she will participate in inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and specifications. All Cell Specialists are also responsible to ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the assigned cell.
Additionally, the Special Process Technician will:
* Operation of presses, laser cutting and material handling for sheet metal processes (hydroform).
* Manufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
* Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
* Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.
* Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
* Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
* Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
* Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
Qualifications
High School or GED and a minimum of one year of experience in sheet metal processing. Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management. Reads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings.
* Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
(Note - must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
* Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
* Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
* U.S. citizenship is required
* Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
