Job Summary: The Quality Technician ensures precise dimensional inspection of components using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and related tools. This role supports quality assurance, compliance with AS9100 standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements What you will be doing: · Operate CMM equipment for first-piece, in-process and final inspections. · Complete first piece (article) inspections, FAI. · Develop and execute CMM programs for automated measurement. · Perform or oversee the verification and calibration of measurement instruments. · Perform quality tests for compliance, such as hardness and dimensional verifications. · Generate and maintain inspection reports, FAIR documentation and CTQ reports. · Support production teams with dimensional analysis and troubleshooting. · Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and internal quality procedures. · Maintain CMM room safety, 5S standards and documentation (check sheets, calibration reports). · Perform hourly product inspections. What you will bring to the team: · High school diploma or equivalent. · Minimum 1 year experience in CMM operation or similar role. · Proficiency in GD&T and Measurement System Analysis (MSA). · Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. · Basic computer skills (MS Office, Minitab). Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with AS9100 standards. · Advanced knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques. · Familiarity with X-ray inspection and spectrometry for complex parts. Licenses / Physical / Job Requirements · Lift up to 50 lbs as needed. · Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
