Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, performs calibrations on precision measurement equipment in the calibration laboratory and at customer locations, either within the customer's facility or as part of the Mobile Laboratory operation.
Responsibilities and Duties
■ Perform routine calibration on Electrical/Electronics, Dimensional, Torque, Pressure, Force, and Thermodynamic instruments using precision reference standards.
■ Agree to and must successfully pass Background Screenings, Drug and Alcohol testing as required.
■ Agree to and must successfully pass ongoing safety training, both general and customer site-specific safety training.
■ Maintain an orderly work area and clean company vehicle.
■ Evaluate and troubleshoot non-operational instruments and perform minor repairs under the direction of laboratory management.
■ Follow calibration work instructions and methods.
■ Work closely with Metrologists, Technical Managers, Metrology Engineers, and the Laboratory Manager to ensure that the assigned work is completed in a timely manner.
■ Participate in ISO 9001 Audits and ISO/IEC 17025 Assessments with Laboratory Managers and Quality Managers.
■ Participate in inter and intra-laboratory proficiency testing.
■ Must demonstrate attention to detail and conscientiousness related to the quality of work.
■ Drive a company-issued vehicle as required for the job and follow any state and local laws while operating the vehicle.
■ Adhere to all Michelli policies and procedures.
Experience
■ One (1) year or more in Calibration or another technical field is a plus.
■ Military experience is preferred.
■ Basic knowledge of industry standards and regulations is a plus.
■ Good knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
Qualifications
■ Experience in a wide variety of technical disciplines.
■ Technical reading comprehension.
■ Use of a computer - i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint programs.

The Role
Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Calibrates test and measuing equipment by comparison to standards that are traceable
to national standards.
• Performs adjustments/repairs as necessary to bring equipment back to original
specifications.
• Provides initial out-of-tolerance information so that impact on product quality can be
analyzed.
• Detects and reports deficiencies in calibration procedures and/or methods.
• Assists crafts in test equipment usage problems when required.
• Assists in developing calibration procedures on new equipment.
• Initiates parts requests for instrument repairs.
• Maintain an accurate records and recall system for calibrateable equipment and for
processing and statusing of both company owned and ship deliverable test equipment

Must Have
Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year experience.
Nice to Have
Formal training in metrology (military or college) and/or a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology or other related fields. Two (2) years experience in a major metrology laboratory with extensive trouble shooting and repair background a must. Strong background in math, algebra, and trigonometry and a working knowledge of computers using word processing and spreadsheet programs. Working knowledge of physics. Key Responsibilities:
Incorporate the hardware and software for EW systems utilizing the plans, tools, and information provided above to perform hardware and software field changes while onboard U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard SCN hulls. The Contractor shall observe, and report documented quality checkpoints during the field change as detailed in the ICDs, installation drawings and other applicable documentation.
Execution of this tasking shall be performed IAW Industrial Test Procedures (ITP). AN/SLQ-32 Interfaces must be verified to include BLK2/BLK3 Interface to AN/SLA-10D, the ship's Combat and Navigation system, High Gain High Sensitivity (HGHS) and Specific Emitter Identification (SEI).
Verify successful Surface Electronic Warfare Team Trainer (SEWTT)/AEGIS Combat Training System (ACTS)/Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) interface IAW provided Government Furnished Information (GFI) and applicable ITPs to ensure successful embedded and integrated training can be executed from the CDS.
Troubleshoot system components by following applicable system test procedures; electrical/electronic/digital Operation Verification Testing (OVT); inter/exterior connection of system components, including cable cleaning and connection of Fiber Optic, Ethernet and copper; Virtual Memory Extension (VME) enclosures; fault/failure isolation and Lowest Repairable Unit (LRU) replacement; collaboration with peripheral system/subsystems to perform system-level tests and resolve integration discrepancies, aid in resolution of Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI)/Electro-Magnetic Charge (EMC) issues, and system casualties or configuration problems that may occur during integration/installation testing; and installation of formal software baselines.
Repair cable, connector and/or backshells as required if determined faulty, including RFoF cables. Fiber certification is required. RFoF work will be executed after cable builds are complete (prior to fiber termination) and shall include topology and specifications tests have been completed the contractor shall begin the system-acceptance phase of the installation to execute BIT and Calibration on the CDS to evaluate initial Human Machine Interface (HMI) faults and flags.
Fiber connections removed during troubleshooting shall be properly cleaned and tested per single mode, multi-mode and RFoF mode requirements.
Requirements:
At least 3- 5 years of Technician experience with operation, test, maintenance & repair of naval ship systems.
3-5 years technical installation/troubleshooting of electrical & mechanical systems.
Familiarity with naval processes, documentation standards, systems integration, modernization/refit/alteration work on ships or shipyards.
Prepare technical documentation, alteration redlines, test reports.
Work with the Navy chain (TYCOMs, Regional Maintenance Centers, NAVSEA, etc) and ensure compliance with Navy/shipyard standards.
Ability to travel (CONUS/OCONUS).
Experience with SLQ-32(V)6 System a plus.
Ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.

Inspect, reject, or accept product according to visual standard, dimensional, and other requirements.
Validation/PV testing of product according to specification and other procedural requirements
Documentation and recordkeeping

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years of quality control experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Factory environment with large range in temperature changes
Standing up to 12 hours daily
Walking up to 12 hours daily

This department is responsible for cleaning and validating lenses. They inspect for cosmetic defects and ensure proper machine maintenance and handling of chemicals. There is a responsibility for the quality of the work performed and the team is expected to know the quality and safety requirements for every operation that they perform.
We are looking for lab technicians for the manufacturing production of eye glasses and sun glasses. The following are primary tasks:
* Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
* Inspecting, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for AR coating.
* Setting up lenses into sectors, setting sectors into AR machine.
* Machine maintenance, including sandblasting inside parts of the machine
* Assist in routing work
* Maintains workstation is clean and organized
On the job training is provided!

Monday through Friday 7:00a -3:30p
(some Saturday shifts are required)
Requirements
* High school Diploma or equivalent.
* Machine maintenance is a plus
* Experienced in DVI software systems preferred but not required.
* Optical experience (Preferred but not required)
