Production Operator Nights 2-2-3This position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements.
Essential Functions
Responsible for daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara's standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
Accurately completes applicable quality and production reports hourly. Physical and visual inspection of product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership.
Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Abides by Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership.
Maintains appropriate level of raw materials as required, to ensure production lines incur minimal downtime.
Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of production; troubleshoots minor production line issues and performs relief duties when required.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand.

About the Role:
As the Production Technician at Alcoa Technical Center (ATC), you will be responsible for manufacturing special components, while keeping safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Your diverse set of skills, including strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team, will be essential as you:
Perform operational tasks to meet project requirements, including forming, furnace and kiln loading/unloading, and maintain process equipment.
Inspect production parts for quality, including density and dimensional measurements, and other checks.
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment as needed.
Disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot equipment.
Follow safety protocols and support Alcoa's EHS standards, tools, and procedures with a strong safety mindset.
What You Can Bring to the Role:
High school diploma, GED, or trade school - preferably in mechanical or electrical trades, but other fields are welcome (such as vehicle repair, HVAC, carpentry, metal work, millwork etc.)

You will use your knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), good manufacturing practices (GMP), traceability and material review board (MRB) while working independently with little direction to perform automated testing and other requirements.
You will professionally interact with the lead, the supervisor, engineers and coworkers to enhance teamwork and to foster positive working relationships. You may also support production or quality control inspections,
You will use your attention to detail and understanding of continuous improvement/lean initiatives to collaborate with them to resolve line issues and suggest improvements.
Training:

**Minimum Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials/Metallurgy, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)
+ Minimum of 5 years of materials engineering, castings, mechanical engineering or a related field

+ The salary range for this position is $ 116,000.00 - 155,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. The Quality Technician III is responsible for providing administrative and technical assistance to the Quality Assurance and Inspection Departments. Specific Job Responsibilities and Competencies
Manages the preparation and compilation of Quality Assurance Manufacturing Data Records (QA MDR) for submittal to customers, utilizing internal databases (Oracle, Windchill, Lotus Notes…) to ensure accurate and timely data management.
Assist the project team obtaining necessary inspection records as requested by customers in advance of QA MDR creation.

Provides direct support to the Quality Engineering team, assisting with project execution and ensuring all quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Support projects to improve the management of inspection records, QA MDRs, NOIs, and NDE processes.
Coordinate with internal organizations to execute daily job functions.
Perform data sorting, investigation and analysis to support quality related investigations as necessary.
As an internal audit team member assist with internal quality audits.
Frequent coordination with customers and suppliers for review and interpretation of quality requirements and inspection points.
Clearly and concisely summarizes process and product testing information.
Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving processes to identify, correct, and prevent recurrence of quality issues
Works to obtain and maintain American Society for Quality membership and certification as a Quality Technician.
Background and Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Quality with an Associate's degree, preferably in a Quality, Technical, or related field. In the absence of an Associate's degree, a minimum of nine (9) years of direct experience in Quality is required.
Must be familiar with materials and processes associated with manufacturing (including welding, NDE, metrology, quality assurance, quality control activities, quality auditing (e.g., ASME, API, ASNT, ISO9001), and 5S/lean manufacturing concepts.
Must hold an NDE Level III certification across various disciplines.
Advance knowledge of product specifications and features
Advance knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection methods and procedures, inspection equipment, nondestructive testing techniques and quality engineering including analytical skills.
Proficiency with standard operational processes within Quality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing key stakeholders and collaborating across teams.
Proficient with personal computers, including use of applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Adobe.
