Objective
Under direction of the Equipment Maintenance Technician Supervisor, performs various skilled and complex tasks in the repair and maintenance of production machinery and equipment which may include, but is not limited to, high speed automated assembly line equipment, contact welding and press machines, robotic coil winders, axial and radial inserters, wave soldering machines, and SMT equipment. Responsible to continuously improve the equipment and machinery while demonstrating excellence in maintenance service.
Essential Responsibilities
Monitors, analyzes, diagnoses and then fine tunes or repairs machine problems in conjunction with manufacturing engineering and production supervisors.
Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, wiring schematic diagrams, and complex equipment manuals.
Utilizes advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in problem assessment. Tests and evaluates equipment performance.
Utilizes effective PLC diagnostics and programming skills.
Assists with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs on all equipment. Works closely with production supervisors to schedule PM activities.
Train production operators on how to perform and assist with simple PM duties.
Assists with developing and maintaining the equipment spare parts inventory.
May complete purchase requisitions for the purchase of spare parts.
Investigates causes of machine problems, raw materials, tooling and equipment. Recommends improvements to processes and equipment to improve efficiency.
Properly documents new procedures and machine changes or additions. Accurately completes all paperwork associated with PM and machine downtime.
May create special fixtures or modify existing equipment with the use of surface grinders, milling machines, arc welder, and lathes.
Utilizes various diagnostic equipment and measuring devices such as voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, and oscilloscopes.
Supports and participates in the Company's management and quality system including continuous improvement efforts.
Experience: 2+ years' equipment maintenance technician in an automated assembly production environment
Education: High School or Equivalent
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to operate / diagnose a variety of automated assembly production equipment within an electronics assembly (PLC's, sensing, robots pick/place).
Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical equipment operating under PLC's, robotics, machining, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensor controls.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with strong time and project management skills.
Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word and Excel). Familiarity with computerized PM program preferred.
Preventative maintenance experience with exposure to computer software and systems.
Ongoing ability to compete high level mechanical diagnostic, calibration, set-up and repair duties as required.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic functions.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Working in line with Cupertino's core values, the person in this role will work closely with manufacturing on first piece, in-process, and final inspection. Will monitor supply base and in-house processes for product conformance. Will issue, track, and verify corrective actions requested from internal or customer, and issued to our supply base.
The role involves developing an Equipment Log using various forms, one-lines, drawings, BOMs, etc., and identifying OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment to ensure its proper documentation. Responsibilities include tracking the receipt of proper OFCI, maintaining a tracking document, and coordinating with Materials, Quality, Production, and Project Management groups upon receipt. You will act as a liaison to the project management group to ensure clients are informed about what has and hasn't been received, prepare receiving reports, and coordinate with the NETA testing group to prioritize their testing sequence. Additionally, the position involves completing clients' prescribed notification systems such as Procore, ACC, BIM, etc., tracking equipment through the assembly process to ensure proper usage, and ensuring that equipment will work in the process as designed (e.g., stub-ups, openings). A key expectation is to be a team player and professionally vocal as issues arise.
**Knowledge:** Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Set up and operate all pieces of the filling packaging equipment as well as perform hand-filling tasks
* Operate a small Spray Dryer
* Understand and follow all packaging instructions on production cards and daily schedule (i.e. Weights, label requirements, formula integrity, machine number, etc.)
* Keep accurate production records, report information daily and accurate reporting
* Inspect in-process goods for proper weights, labeling, packaging, pallet configuration, correct and/or report defects.
* Perform sanitation duties, perform proper housekeeping, and adhere to safety and GMP procedures
* Help maintain equipment, report all machinery breakdowns or problems, and resolve basic mechanical issues
* Perform all retain procedures
* Assist in making basic, small blends, and emulsions
* Perform sampling procedures per specifications
* Operate fork truck in a safe manner
* Perform changeovers and wash downs (including chemical, allergen, and kosher) of equipment
* Participate in team/department meetings, offering suggestions where warranted
* Responsible for disposal of trash and operating compactor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Ability to use logical thinking in performing multiple duties, often working on different projects at the same time
* Ability to memorize various policies and procedures
* Ability to know when to go to higher level for a decision
* Ability to read and interpret various formula sheets, printed/written materials, and computer screens
* Ability to distinguish colors
* Ability to perform basic math functions; must be able to write legibly
* Ability to lift and carry pails of liquids (50 lbs), move containers over 50 lbs., hand roll 600 lb drums
* Ability to climb ladders/stairs and bend/stoop to work around equipment
* Ability to operate hand tools, high-pressure water hoses, and enter information onto a computer (touch-screen/keyboard)
* Ability to work a full shift plus daily overtime (often on short notice) and on weekends, plus have flexibility to work other shifts or longer shifts (10-12 hours)
* Fork truck license required or ability to become fork truck certified through McCormick and Company
* Ability to work in a team-based environment
* Ability to wear a PAPR/positive pressure respirator and to be physically able to complete annual pulmonary function monitoring and testing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma OR equivalency
* One year of production experience involving mixing/blending/processing or related experience
* Experience in a computer-based system - SAP experience
* Experience working in a GMP environment
Pay Grade Range: $19.56 - $27.39

You will be responsible for supporting various assignments supporting Baxter quality systems and ensuring label copy control, sample management, documentation review, Oversight floor shop activities, and other quality department functions.

Maintains department equipment and inventory levels for controlled materials.
Owns monthly inventory cycle count initiation and variance follow-up.
Perform routine inspections as the provider of floor shop oversight, quality checks, and in-process product inspections of finishing product areas.
Interacts with manufacturing and supervision to address quality process or batch-related concerns.
Performs process compliance audits of all manufacturing areas to ensure quality of product/process (TIQs) is achieved.
Performs troubleshooting, works independently, and makes decisions based on general guidance and existing procedural requirements.
Performs product functional testing in support of equipment validations.
Identifies process improvements and escalates to Line Operations Supervision and/or Management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll bring:
The candidate must not be allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs
6 months of experience in manufacturing/quality preferred.
HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
Basic science, math, and computer skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel) are required.
Good writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements
It is desirable for the candidate to have experience with the requirements of current Good Manufacturing & Documentation Practices in pharma manufacturing facilities.

Will work in both Drug Delivery and Penicillin facilities as needed.
Overtime may be required to meet the production schedule.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions concerning quality issues
Ability to calculate figures and amounts related to quality
General understanding of usage, maintenance and calibration of all lab equipment

Manufacturing technician job in Janesville, WI
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician is responsible for operating manipulators and handling materials in a cleanroom environment. The role involves maintaining accurate batch records per cGMP/cGDP standards, preparing materials and equipment for manufacturing, and performing production tasks such as raw material handling, radioisotope processing, sterile API preparation, and shipment.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine equipment maintenance and support process improvements.
* Ensure cleanliness and document actions in the Quality Management System.
* Assist with deviations and investigations, adhering strictly to cGMP.
* Train technicians and contribute to projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Associate degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or high school diploma with 2+ years in pharmaceutical/API manufacturing, equipment operation, or food processing.
* Willingness and ability to wear a full bunny suit (full body cleanroom garment).
* 6+ months of experience drafting SOPs/batch records.
Work Environment
The work environment is a cleanroom manufacturing setting. The role requires 2nd shift (2pm-10pm Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday). There is flexibility in start and end times to accommodate personal needs such as picking up children from school. Employees receive a shift premium and opportunities for pay progression based on responsibilities.

Production Operator/Operations Technician will carry out the activities involved in the manufacture of specialty chemicals. Employee must follow ISO and PSM procedures in all phases of production operations. Performs SAP functions in data entry and also performs laboratory analyses, as needed. Knowledge of IMDG and 49 CFR dangerous goods certification for shipment of materials. Follows established quality standards, Company safety standards and EHS policies at all times.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload tank wagons and rail cars, both raw materials and finished products
Perform blending operations in storage tanks
Operation of facility's reactors for batch operations
Transfer materials between vessels
Perform blending operations in storage tanks
Automatic and manual charging, sampling and controlling reaction and process vessels.
Transferring raw materials from rail cars and tank trucks to storage tanks, unloading finished products to tote bins or drums as directed.
Handling hazardous materials safely.
Recording process data on batch logs, batch records and inventory control records.
Adhere to approved work instructions.
Maintain housekeeping and safe work conditions.
General plant maintenance.
Accepts responsibility for his or her own safety and health. Performs assigned duties in a manner that is safe and protective of the environment. Follows operating procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally protective workplace. Observes and reports all incidents and unsafe conditions. Takes an active interest in improving safety and environmental protection.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Demonstrated ability to handle raw materials and finished products in a safe manner.
Must be willing to wear a full-face respirator or SCBA
Available to work 12-hour shifts (fixed days or nights), weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Operator forklift truck and be capable of passing certification testing.
Demonstrate basic math skills and knowledge of computers.
Physically able to work under SCBA and full PPE and must be physically capable to handle bags and drums of materials
