Your Role: The Manufacturing Technician 2 - 1st Shift at the South Broadway site is responsible for setting up and preparing products according to current manufacturing procedures, cleaning up equipment and manufacturing suites after production operations, complete batch records during the production of products, and always follow all safety and quality policies. Job duties include: * 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM. * Set up and operate diverse processing equipment, including automated filling, packaging, and disinfection systems, for both powder and liquid products. * Identify malfunctions and implement authorized corrective actions by adjusting set points, reconfiguring equipment, or collaborating with maintenance teams. * Execute end-to-end manufacturing operations-from initial product setup and preparation to final filling and packaging-following strict SOPs. * Safely transport chemicals and equipment using pumps, piping, fork trucks, and pallet jacks to ensure seamless process flow. * Manage comprehensive cleaning and disinfection cycles for all equipment and workspaces, ensuring areas remain orderly and production-ready. * Maintain rigorous quality standards by completing accurate batch records, filling out compliance logbooks, and managing waste disposal documentation. * Perform all tasks in strict compliance with safety regulations while applying scientific principles to improve and streamline manufacturing processes. Physical Attributes: * Wear appropriate PPE for production processes including but not limited to full face respirators, gloves, and suits). * Lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED. * 1+ years' experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: * Knowledge in chemistry, mathematics, and science. * Experience with safe chemical handling methods. * Effective communication skills, both oral and written. * Strong computer, mechanical, troubleshooting, interpersonal and organizational skills. * Pay Range for this position: $20.00-$31.00. * The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. Description: The Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of cannabis products. This is a higher-level role in the manufacturing department that involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing processes, adhering to quality standards, and following safety protocols, regulations, and laws. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate and monitor cannabis manufacturing equipment and processes, including Hydrocarbon Extraction, Ethanol Extraction, Distillation, and Centrifuges. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment. Prepare and dispose of Biomass and Biowaste in compliance with regulations and internal SOPs. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. Record and maintain accurate production data and logs. Assist in the implementation of process improvements. Handle and store chemicals safely, following all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and resolve issues. Responsible for product processing and formulation, following standardized formulas. Perform lab bench work and product filtrations. Ensure a safe and quality working environment. Train and qualify on the manufacturing processes of the area. Start up and shut down processing equipment. Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment. Properly record data per SOPs and cGMP guidelines. Perform Batch Record calculations. Work within the team environment and interact with other departments for operational success. Accurately weigh, measure, count and label materials and products. Use logical methods to solve problems with effective solutions and make quick quality decisions. Assist and support in investigations and process improvements. Prepare chemical solutions for processes, following standardized formulas. Perform duties as assigned by leadership. Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the department and business. Qualifications and Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in a mechanical or chemistry-related field preferred. Previous experience in a cannabis or manufacturing environment is a plus. Knowledge of chemical processes and equipment operation. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Awareness of FDA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Essential Job Functions Ability to perform repetitive task for long periods of time Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditions. Must be willing to wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed. Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required.
