Requirements:
BA/BS or AA/AS in Biology, Chemistry, Bioengineering or a related field; 1-2 years' experience working in a life science manufacturing role highly preferred.
Detailed-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize assignments in a multi-task position.
Motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a growing manufacturing team.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Software Programs.

POSITION SUMMARY
Manufacturing Technicians at ASI perform hands-on electro-mechanical assembly and light fabrication tasks typically associated with the production and installation of simulation and training devices, or device modification kits, that are installed throughout the U.S. and abroad. Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the preparation of mounting and making flexographic plates to meet production schedule.
* Performs duties using provided flats, job ticket, working papers, daily production schedule and verbal instructions
* Prepare print cylinder sleeves by stripping and cleaning sleeves from previous print runs
* Setup plate exposure equipment and loads film flats and underdeveloped printing plates
* Make sure vacuum frame and glass are free of dust, debris, etc and exposure for proper amount of time
* Perform manual and step and repeat operations as required
* Check finished plates or proofs for flaws, position and check for proper exposure using standard scales and printers loop
* Send proofs for customer and production approval as required, make plates from approved proofs or film and send to pressroom
* Add mounting adhesive tape per print unit chart and work instructions
* Prepare graphic plates for mounting by trimming the plate to proper fit on sleeves
* Work closely with the production schedule for changes in priority
* Notify PrePress Team of any potential problems such as sleeve shortage, run-ability, etc
* Notify PrePress Supervisor of any equipment problems or issues
