Accurately measure and prepare food ingredients by following written recipes

Report all safety concerns immediately to direct supervisor(s) upon discovery

Position Summary:

* Report machine problems to the shift supervisor or lead and ensure machine logs are accurately filled out, detailing mechanical and non-mechanical downtime. Fill out work order requests as needed to ensure appropriate machine uptime

SUMMARY:
Production Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and sanitizing our production lines.
SHIFT TIMES:
Our Weekday Nights Production Operators are scheduled to work four 10-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday. Currently, the start times available are 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Directly work with the Production Lead/Supervisor to ensure that the bar and/or granola lines are running properly
Operate production line equipment including, but not limited to, industrial mixers, scales, printer labelers, ovens, cooling tunnels, high-speed packaging machinery and various other equipment related to food production
Accurately measure and prepare food ingredients by following written recipes
Ensure packaging materials are set up according to customer specifications
Perform sanitation of production equipment, parts, and the surrounding environment
Accurately record documentation to verify compliance with all required quality specifications and procedure checks for the assigned area
Report all safety concerns immediately to direct supervisor(s) upon discovery
Troubleshoot machinery as needed
Work collaboratively with peers and leadership
Follow all safety, quality and GMP requirements of the position
Other special projects as assigned
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be detailed oriented
The ability to work independently by utilizing all trained processes and procedures with minimal supervision
Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Able to receive, digest and implement constructive feedback provided by leadership
Experience in food manufacturing, or production, is preferred but no required
Forklift experience is an asset, but not a requirement
The ability to speak, read and write English fluently as it pertains to fulfilling the job requirements
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Standing and walking for up to 12 hours
Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs.
Able to push/pull more than 1,000 lbs. using pallet jack

**Position Summary:**
Our QA Tech is responsible for ensuring food safety and food quality by working in partnership with the shift supervisor. Perform changeover inspections, pre-operational inspections, auditing in process QC checks, and training shift personnel on food quality and food safety practices and procedures. Will investigate product holds and determine immediate disposition, where appropriate. Other tasks include investigating customer complaints, conducting facility inspections, completing finished product reviews, and auditing production and sanitation processes.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Audit production QC (Quality Control) inspections and data
+ Verify and sign off on production testing records
+ Perform raw material and packaging receiving verifications
+ Perform sensory evaluations for in process materials
+ Conduct finished product reviews
+ Prepare customer samples and swab samples for shipment
+ Support production in maintaining quality product at standard efficiency
+ Train shift staff on food quality and food safety procedures
+ Participate in equipment cleanliness inspections at product changeover, including ATP testing
+ Conduct pre-operational inspections prior to weekly start-up
+ Identify, tag and segregate nonconforming Items
+ Complete customer information requests & update customer records
+ Advise on immediate quality hold dispositions
+ Audit production and sanitation procedures for compliance with documented procedures
+ Perform scheduled GMP Inspections and Glass & Brittle Plastic Inspections
+ Complete complaint investigations, facility and product inspections, and document revisions, as assigned.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Education & Experience Required:**
+ High school diploma; college training in math or science preferred
+ One (1) plus years in a laboratory or related inspection work
+ Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
**Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:**
+ Eugene products and production processes
+ CFR Title 21 Part 110 (current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in manufacturing, packaging, and holding of Human Food))
+ Food Safety principles as these apply in production, for example. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), cGMP, Allergen Control
+ Observing physical surrounding with a keen eye towards variance from the ordinary
+ Capability in performing simple mathematical calculations
+ Detail oriented in work performance and documentation
+ Organization and time management
+ Diplomacy when interacting with all staff
+ Working in a fast-paced environment
