About This Role: As our Quality Control Technician focused on switchboard testing, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the quality and operational readiness of the electrical distribution systems that power our cutting-edge AI infrastructure. What You'll Be Working On: Switchboard Testing and Inspection: Execute comprehensive testing procedures for switchboard assemblies, including but not limited to visual inspections, electrical continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, and operational checks. Test Procedure Execution: Follow detailed test procedures and checklists to ensure consistent and thorough evaluation of switchgear performance against engineering specifications and industry standards. Electrical Testing and Verification: Execute electrical testing procedures, including continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, functional testing, and other relevant electrical tests to ensure switchboard meets performance specifications and safety requirements, energized functionality testing. Test Equipment Management: Ensure that all electrical testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to safety guidelines. Test Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Proficiently operate various electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, Hi-Pot testers) and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of this equipment. Data Acquisition and Reporting: Accurately record and document test data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential failure points. Generate clear and concise test reports summarizing findings. Non-Conformance Reporting: Document any test failures or non-conformances, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to support root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions. Quality Standards and Compliance: Ensure all testing activities adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI), and internal quality management system requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve testing issues, provide feedback on design for testability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on basic quality checks and testing procedures related to switchgear assemblies. Documentation Control: Maintain accurate and organized records of all test procedures, test results, and calibration records. What You'll Bring to the Team: Education: Minimum High School graduate or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred, and equivalent field experience will be considered. Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in electrical testing and quality control roles, with a strong focus on testing medium and/or low voltage switchgear assemblies. Electrical Testing Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical testing principles, methodologies, and safety practices. Switchboard Familiarity: Comprehensive knowledge of switchgear components, functionality, and relevant industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI). The Nondestructive Testing technician will independently perform inspections utilizing various NDT techniques seeking corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria. (TZMI) Responsible for the completion of all Operations work orders as assigned. Performs minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry and excavation to maintain zoo exhibits, buildings, and grounds. Performs general repair of buildings, exhibits, structures, equipment, etc.; performs scheduled preventative maintenance on same as directed. Maintains records and documents of scheduled maintenance or other repairs as required. Performs general fabrication to repair/fabricate animal caging, crates, exhibits; utilizes stick, MIG and TIG welding equipment. Replaces broken windows; repair doors, door locks and closets; installs and repairs fencing/public barriers; installs and repairs concrete or asphalt surfaces, repairs mechanical equipment or vehicles, etc. Inspect condition of roofs; clean roof gutters and drains. Inspect and repair interior/exterior lighting; install and repair lamps, ballasts and covers. Move and relocate office furniture, files, etc.; make adjustments to desks, chairs and files. Analyzes work orders to determine materials required and methods to complete the task; prepares cost estimates for work orders. Requisition supplies, material and equipment; monitor inventory; picks up supplies; load and unload supplies. Maintains clean and clutter free shop and work area(s) involving general cleaning duties. As needed, assists with set up/break down of special/private events including set up of tables, chairs, tents, stage, or other equipment. Utilizes a wide array of hand and power tools and other equipment; maintain tools and equipment in good working order and in safe working condition. . Key Responsibilities: Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components. Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques. This process may involve surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify the accuracy of parts, tools, gages, or other equipment. Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings. Work with other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gages and other equipment. Generate clear and concise test reports summarizing findings. What You'll Bring to the Team: Education: Minimum High School graduate or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred, and equivalent field experience will be considered. Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in electrical testing and quality control roles, with a strong focus on testing medium and/or low voltage switchgear assemblies. Electrical Testing Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical testing principles, methodologies, and safety practices.
