Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking Manufacturing Technicians to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our Copper Crossing Value Stream (CXVS) facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Role description & Responsibilities:
A Manufacturing Technician performs hands on activities/tasks associated with manufacturing of composite rocket cases. Tasks may include but are not limited to Tooling Assembly/Disassembly, Case Surface Preparation, winding composite equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness of the work area and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. These candidates must participate as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and schedule of their team.
This is a weekday, night shift position. Overtime is worked as necessary.
Requirements:
* Must be willing to perform shift work and overtime, as required. This could include weekends and holidays.
* Must possess a valid state driver's license
* Required to perform safe handling of hazardous waste materials for disposal.
* Possess ability to understand and apply stringent procedures to assigned duties.

Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.

* Ability to weigh material for mixing process.
* Ability to work with resins and carbon fiber.
* Ability to work with chemical cleaning process such as an industrial degreaser.

* Ability to start and end helicals and hoops in carbon winding process, following planning requirements.

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,100.00 - $71,900.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $85,400.00

Production Technicians usually work as part of a larger team, frequently interacting with manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel. Work Schedule: 1st Shift, 4/10 Schedule, M-TH 6am-4:30pm
Primary Responsibilities:
• Performs a variety of repetitive operations for the production of composite parts
• Operations can include cleaning of molds, operating winding machines, and working with chemicals
• Clean molds; use a variety of power tools; cut, clean, and package parts
• Places parts in specified relationship to each other
• Operates and tends automatic and manual processing equipment
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures
• Works at different work stations as production needs require
• Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure safe working conditions.
• Ability to read procedures
• Be able to write legible for filling out documentation
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
• 1 or more years of related experience
• High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED)
• Knowledge of basic measuring equipment, tape measure and calipers
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Capacity to read and interpret procedures accurately
• Be able to write legible and accurately for filling out documentation
• Ability to be at work and on time on a regular consistent basis.

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Press Operator I to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating press equipment to produce 3form products in accordance with established safety protocols and production standards, ensuring consistency and meeting on-time delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience and demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow directions of Press Lead, Supervisor, and Manager
Work in a two-man team to build products
Follow Standards for proper setup & production operations, & safety protocols
Meeting or exceeding efficiency & quality goals
QC data entry
Schedule execution
Maintain a clean and safe factory
Adhere to all company rules, policy, & guidelines
Qualifications:
Strong communication at the team level
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
Task driven
Detail Oriented
Basic math computation
High School Diploma or GED
Able to read and comprehend instructions
Must be able to acknowledge and follow critical procedures
Able to work overtime and weekends as required

Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of both upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force.
