The Manufacturing Production Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean & safe work environment as well as maintaining professional working relationships with co-workers. Job duties vary daily, but all are focused on the forming, finishing and packaging of fired brick, used in the refractory industry. The MPT operates equipment used to press or hand mold refractory brick from mixtures of wet and dry materials with varying binders. They inspect, make minor repairs and adjustments, changes molds and sets up refractory press for the manufacturing of product. Positions start at $26.00 per hour. Responsibilities Operates and programs presses, setters, pickers, scales and all of bearing equipment; off bears brick from press table to rack cark, kiln car or pallet, cleans loose material and flange before setting in prescribed manner. Operates tram cab, high lift any other transport machinery to deliver materials to presses. Transfers kiln cars; transports racks and/or rack cars to and from presses and ovens. Gauges and cleans kiln cars. Operates lift trucks to transport materials through out the plant. Performs SMS charting and analysis of process variables. Performs in process quality control. Technicians conduct the day-to-day assignments and tasks of the cannabis production cycle, including packaging, and labeling of cannabis for our customer. Lab: Learns the extraction processes to facilitate and drive distillate and concentrate production. The technician will perform a broad range of duties related to day-to-day operations and production of oil. That includes preparation and extraction of plant material, the preparation of solutions, supplies, materials, and equipment, cleaning & maintenance of equipment and facilities proper and safe use of equipment and materials. Kitchen: Responsible for having the basic knowledge of all daily operations in an edible and cannabis infused kitchen. Assisting in the preparing food items and other culinary activities as directed by the kitchen manager. Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and operating all equipment safely in its intended manner. Duties and Responsibilities Packaging: Operating and maintaining kitchen and packaging systems/equipment: monitoring, calibrating, running, and troubleshooting systems; stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning production areas, kitchen workspaces and tools. Ensure daily QA/QC compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, and access protocols. Physical requirements Prolonged sitting, standing and / or walking motion/movement will be required throughout the shift. Constant movement of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina. Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to inspect/maintain plants. Occasionally operate power hand tools and other cultivation machinery. Must be able to inspect and detect quality deviations and defects. This full-time role involves accurately mixing batches to create detergents, soaps, cleaning products, and more. The successful candidate will follow recipes, weigh and measure raw materials, operate mixing machines, and perform routine quality checks. The position also involves cleaning equipment after use. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work within safety protocols are essential.
