**Summary of the Position**

1. This is a non-supervisory position and is an individual contributor role

2. This a strategic level position in order to expand competencies and capabilities in medical products manufacturing

3. The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical assistance and oversight to manufacturers and regulators to achieve the objectives of increasing the supply of quality-assured essential medical products

4. The incumbent will interface with internal USP departments as well as manufacturers of medical products and regulators

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Provide technical assistance to manufacturers in GMP, technology transfer, and dossier development and submission through audits, trainings, and deployment of tools and approaches to ensure adoption of international quality standards.

+ Supports the work and efforts of the Lead Pharmaceutical Product Supplies to develop technical documents, tools on localizing manufacturing of medical products in LMIC

+ Collaborate with PQM+ to provide technical assistance and oversight to manufacturers and regulators to achieve the objectives of increasing the supply of quality-assured essential medical products.

+ Provides oversight for local CMC staff, local partners and consultants involved in delivery of manufacturing support

+ Identify CMC risks and support the development of mitigations and contingency plans.

+ Conduct audits to assess compliance with international standards from WHO Prequalification process and support manufacturers to develop strategies and tools to address deviations and non-compliance identified.

+ Actively contribute to the engagement of the private sector stakeholders to facilitate public-private collaboration to support local manufacturing of quality pharmaceuticals and medical products

+ Work closely with teams to support development and deployment of strategies

+ Review and provide timely inputs into key project deliverables including technical and donor reports

+ Keep abreast of the latest manufacturing trends and regulation requirements

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing

Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Senior Manager to join our team! This position will be part of the Technology Leadership Team for Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS), which focuses on the production of several different refrigerant gases and specialty fluids, and will report directly to the Sr. Director, Global Technology for Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS). This role will work out of our world-class innovation center, The Chemours Discovery Hub, in Newark, DE.

The Manufacturing Technology Senior Manager provides strategic leadership and guidance to manufacturing technical resources including Chemical Process Engineers, Mechanical and E&I Engineers. This role collaborates with key stakeholders across the business to deliver the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain, and improve the manufacturing operations: with R&D and Manufacturing Teams to define process technology strategy and programs of significance to the business; with Operations Leadership to define goals (safety, asset productivity and quality) and budget forecasts; and with Site and Unit MT managers to develop and apply resources to meet these objectives. This role is responsible for implementing corporate best practices, developing technical resources and the building of the capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of our plants.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Provide guidance to MT managers in all unit and/or plants in the TSS business to deliver the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain, and improve the manufacturing operations

+ Partner with Plant Managers to define goals (safety, asset productivity and quality) and lead technical resources to meet those objectives

+ Ensure adequate PSM processes and mechanisms are in place for Technology in all manufacturing sites to achieve the EHS goals for the business

+ Develop technical resources, build capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of all plants and coordinate optimal leveraging of manufacturing technology resources

+ Coordinate the Energy & FOC network for the business to ensure the CRC business goals are met in alignment with corporate goals

+ Provide technical guidance to business initiatives to identify and enable contract manufacturing partners in support of the business growth strategy

+ Sponsor the technology teams in TSS, including MT, R&D, and leveraged engineering resources

+ Ensure appropriate staffing plans to advance critical corporate initiatives to achieve net neutrality by 2050

+ Ensure effective deployment of initiatives and staffing in the journey to achieve Industry 4.0 in collaboration with the Automation & Process Control corporate network (A&PC)

+ Travel to each of the 4 manufacturing sites at least once per year

To be qualified for this role, candidates must possess the following:

+ Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science discipline.

+ 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with demonstrated ability to build effective teams and drive business results

+ Experience in the chemical industry, including familiarity with product development & process technology
