This career ladder position has a grade level progression of GS-11, GS-12 and GS-13. Duties and Responsibilities
As a Marine Interdiction Agent, you will perform marine-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties may include:
· Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
· Interpreting radar data to calculate appropriate intercept while tracking vessels and people to a successful interdiction.
· Searching persons, vessels, baggage, and cargo for contraband or weapons incidental to detention or arrest.
· Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
Qualifications
This GS-11 grade level position has a selective factor: As a minimum qualification requirement all candidates must have a qualifying Merchant Mariner Credential. See the U.S. Coast Guard Issued Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC) section that is listed below for qualifying capacities.
You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
Independently applying advanced skill in controlling/commanding law enforcement scenes to include conducting searches, making arrests, processing arrests and seizure of evidence and property.
Conducting investigative inquiries using various techniques, examining files and records, physical and documentary evidence to identify logical conclusions.
Utilizing cameras and other electronic high-tech surveillance equipment to gather evidence, collect, evaluate, and then preserve that physical and documentary evidence.
Highly skilled in writing comprehensive arrest, criminal and incident reports.
Assisting government or state attorneys in preparation for court cases or grand juries, testifies as a law enforcement officer in court proceedings, and administrative forums.
Considerable experience applying arrest authorities and constitutional law in various alleged criminal situations, or knowledge and experience of CBP laws, regulations, policies, legal precedent.
OR GS-11 Education Substitution for experience: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M.
OR Combining Experience and Education: A combination of successfully completed post-bachelors' education (above) and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
AND U.S. Coast Guard Issued Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC): You must submit a valid, legible copy of your Merchant Mariner Credential at time of application. Your copies must include the expiration and capacity pages of your MMC.

Annual Base Salary:
GS-5 and GS-7: $40,332 - $109,952 per year
Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay annually.
This is a career ladder position with promotion potential up to GS-12. You will be eligible for promotion to the next higher grade after 52 weeks at each level, subject to agency discretion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Construction Planning
Review and understand engineering plans
Coordinate with the engineering team and vendors to develop a detailed construction sequence (Gantt chart or similar)

Compensation and Work Schedule:
The salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement with the Bellingham Education Support Team (BEST), Range 7, $4,250 per month ($24.42 per hour, $51,000 annual), with annual increments thereafter up to $5,344 per month ($30.71 per hour) after 5 years of BTC experience in this position.
These position(s) receive 8 hours per month of sick leave, start out at 10.67 hours per month of vacation leave, 24 hours of personal leave per calendar year, and 12 paid state/college holidays per calendar year. Benefits also include a Washington State insurance package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and long-term disability; a retirement benefits package, with choice between the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Plan 2 or Plan 3 (Note: Current, retired or former members of a Washington State Retirement System plan should contact HR for their specific retirement options). The Sanitation Worker plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance within Northline Seafoods' Head & Gut processing operations. This position is responsible for ensuring all equipment, processing areas, and workstations meet company standards and regulatory requirements, supporting a safe and efficient production environment.
This is a temporary position for our winter processing operations, with potential for continued employment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment, conveyor lines, floors, drains, and work surfaces in the Head & Gut facility.
Follow established cleaning procedures, including rinsing, foaming, scrubbing, and sanitizing using approved chemicals and equipment.
Safely disassemble and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning, ensuring no equipment damage.
Monitor chemical concentrations and usage; maintain accurate sanitation records.
Dispose of waste and by-products in compliance with environmental and food safety regulations.
Inspect cleaned areas to verify sanitation and readiness for production.
Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or sanitation issues to supervisors.
Follow all OSHA, FDA, USDA, and company safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to meet sanitation requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
