ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversee receiving process and team, to ensure timely processing and reporting of all inbound product. Responsible for ensuring product is received, rated, stored, and processed according to best practices and following FIFO principles. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliation of raw goods, raw materials, and packaging. Maintains accurate inventory counts by supporting physical inventories, performing cycle counts, and transacting items in ERP. Ensures that all product received comes from vendors who have been approved by our Compliance Department and meets required specifications and labeling. Responsible for maintaining an orderly warehouse by moving items to/from the appropriate inventory locations, and by following housekeeping and sanitation rules. Responsible for performing ERP transactions to reflect the shipping, receiving, or returning of items, packing/unpacking items, creating inventory and shipping labels, and generating necessary documentation. Ability to adapt quickly and calmly to changing conditions and solve problems immediately. Ability to work well with others and maintain organization and communication between cross-related departments. Displays ability to multitask and handle multiple issues under pressure without stress. Summary This position works in the shipping and receiving department of the poultry processing plant to prepare product to be shipped to our customers. This is a full-time second shift position working Monday-Friday 1pm-12am. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Accurately scan boxes or bins of finished product into the correct inventory location using scanning equipment. * Accurately scan raw materials in and out of the WIP location using scanning equipment. * Accurately scan finished product from the coolers to the correct customer and transfer order. Minimum Education High School or equivalent not required but beneficial. Experience Requirements Must have strong reading and writing skills. Experience Preferred Experience in shipping and receiving preferred. Must be able to obtain forklift certification with Safety. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Moving and/or travelin on a wet, dry and greasy floor, which includes metal and plastic grating surfaces. Ability to climb stairs and various ladders. Exposure to temperature ranges of less than 28 degrees, up to 100 degrees. Noise exposure ranges from less than 80db to more than 100db. Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting and grasphing varies in reptitions, distance, degrees, angles, weights, heights, intervals of time, objects grasped and body psoition depending upon task being performed. Exposure to all chempicals found in a poultry processing operation and MSDS sheets are available on request. Light intesity will vary from less than 50ft candles to more than 90ft candles.
