    The Sales Associate is responsible for performing general sales duties in their assigned department but also assisting in other areas of the store as needed. They display a helpful, friendly attitude towards all customers to make Theisen's the Best of the Best in our industry. This involves greeting and assisting customers, helping them to determine correct merchandise for their needs and explaining benefits and features of merchandise. They may also perform general upkeep of the facility and may assist on cash registers. Qualifications 3-12 months retail experience preferred Valid driver's License with a clean driving record Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service Approach customers storewide and ask if help is needed and take them to the location of merchandise Explain benefits and features of merchandise to customers and suggest add-on merchandise Maintain general knowledge of all products, may need to have expertise in specific product areas Compute price quotes, order merchandise from order catalog, provide customers with business card with name and contact information, and follow up on customer special orders Answer telephone and customer questions within established guidelines Practice and maintain security measures Communicate out-of-stocks using hot sheet/new item requests Use radios to request additional help Assist customers with check out and carryouts Maintain accuracy of shelf tagging, arrange merchandise by shelf label, and set up merchandise displays Receive merchandise shipments, and check them against receiving reports Remove merchandise from packaging, match items with stock numbers, and price and tag merchandise Restock shelves and displays and assemble products as needed Process Interstore transfers Cleaning duties which include but aren't limited to facing merchandise, dusting shelves/displays and merchandise, sweeping and vacuuming, cleaning windows, and emptying trash Maintain cleanliness and merchandising that meets or exceeds the Theisen's Brand requirements Other tasks as requested by management may include but are not limited to: checking desk/mail box, preparing and participating in physical inventory, unloading warehouse delivery trucks, delivering merchandise to customers, and running cash registers Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work Environment and Working Conditions Work will normally be performed inside of the store facility; however, some work may occasionally be performed outside in conditions ranging from cold below 32 degrees to heat above 100 degrees. The work environment is usually fast paced with regular deadlines and sales expectations. Extreme noise and vibrations may occasionally be experienced. Associates may be subjected to hazards such as burns, cuts, electrical, explosive, and mechanical. Due to the nature of the work, associates may be exposed atmospheric conditions such as dust fumes, odors, and poor ventilation. As an integral part of the overall care team, you will collaborate with other Direct Support Professionals, Programmers, Supervisors, individuals-served, and their families to ensure the best possible care for those you serve. You will fulfill an individuals behavioral care plan by creatively strategizing the best way for each individual to reach and exceed their goals. In this role, youll be responsible to: Collaborate with the RCF Supervisor and RCF Programmer to develop goals for the individual served. Provide services to individuals based on their unique goals and behavioral care plan. This includes: o Teaching individuals how to accomplish their goal (rather than completing a task for them). o Using behavioral strategies that support individuals and address any behaviors that do not lead to their success. o Motivate and encourage individuals to participate in their behavioral care plans and reach their goals. o Participate in recreational, community, and social activities with those you serve, honoring the choices of the individual. o Display and understanding of when it is appropriate to apply rights-restrictions, only as determined by the interdisciplinary team and when indicated in the individuals behavioral care plan. Plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality and experience for the individuals. This includes: o Preparing food per posted menus and according to special diets and standards. o Effectively estimate food quantities needed to meet menu requirements. o Ensuring safety is being met, reporting any hazardous situations immediately. o Ensuring proper food storage and handling procedures are followed. o Provide education to individuals on healthy eating, menu planning, shopping, and preparing meals. o Complete all required documentation on Dietary Admission and Quarterly Dietary Progress on all individuals. o Maintain inventory of food and order supplies as needed. Provide complete, consistent, and accurate documentation of the individuals progress. Provide safe environments and instruction to individuals served regarding the practices that will help them reach their goals. Provide care to individuals that help them present their best selves to the community. This may include helping with hygienic needs, choosing appropriate clothing, administering medication, and ensuring they have food options suitable for their dietary needs. Be an advocate for individuals receiving services to have as much control over their own lives as possible. All individuals should be treated with respect and should feel empowered to live their life as independently as physically possible.
