Mariani Packing Company, the largest independent dried fruit processor and packer in the United States, has an immediate opening for General Labor in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. We are located on the east side of Wisconsin Rapids, just off Hwy 54 and only 15 minutes from Plover.
Full-time day shift at positions are currently available in our food manufacturing plant working 12-hour shifts. Day shifts work 7am to 7:15pm. Employees work 3 days one week followed by 4 days the following week, so every other weekend is a 3-day weekend off! Prior forklift experience is beneficial but not required for some positions.
Under direction of the shift supervisor, the general labor positions will perform essential functions of the position they are hired in. Some of the functions may include boxing and production area labor jobs, perform syrup checks for all process tables in the infusion production area and maintain a consistent flow of product to the dryers that meets customer's specifications, perform incoming fruit and production area labor jobs, and keeps plant areas in a clean and orderly condition as directed to maintain food safety. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned, as necessary. Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed by manager.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for pulling fruit bins from the freezer, scanning them to the cooler, entering bin weight in scan gun and transporting to the freezer staging area. Recording of data on paper will be needed if scan guns are not working.
Responsible for entering bin data and weights on the Incoming Fruit Process Log.
Responsible for monitoring conveyor operation, color sorter, sliced chip cart and slicer as part of receiving line duties.
Responsible for completing all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsible for transporting bins of fruit via forklift from the staging area to the receiving line and then depositing the fruit into the hopper.
Lead Responsibilities
Display a history of acceptable work attendance and reliability.
Understand the area of operation and lead co-workers within that area to maintain focus throughout the shift.
Lead team members in cleaning of primary work area during monthly shutdowns.

Replaces faulty switches, and other elements of electrical and mechanical systems. Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies and maintains electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the Plant.
Maintains Plant power distribution systems, including performing preventive maintenance, and installing wiring, conduit and apparatus.
Education and Experience:
At least 5 years industrial experience preferable in food plant or with high-speed packaging equipment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Be able to diagnose electrical and controls problems and make the proper repairs.
Must be able to read and communicate in the "English Language" in order to read and understand electrical prints.
Be able to wire high and low voltage including control power.
Be able to lay out a wiring project from transformer to equipment.
Be proficient with PC and PLC controls and logic. Working knowledge and experience with Ladder Logic.
Working knowledge of and demonstrated ability to use electronic and electrical test equipment including digital and analog volt and ohm-meters, oscilloscopes, data analyzers and circuit testers.

Are you pursing a degree in Engineering and looking for hands-on experience with a growing company? Lakeside Foods is seeking a motivated Engineering intern who is interested in applying their educational knowledge and business practices in a real-world environment. Come join our team and we will give you the opportunity to work on various projects.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Job shadow and train with Engineering staff
* Assist Engineering staff with various capital projects related to equipment and infrastructure improvement
* Shadow and observe Engineering activities from the process and environmental side of the business
* Assist in engineering functions including: capital planning, design of experiments, layout drafting, environmental reporting, etc.
* Work on specific engineering projects as assigned
* Collaborate and network with other interns to help improve our processes
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
* Engineering major, working towards completion of BS or BE
* High level of professionalism
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
* Experience with Excel and AutoCAD
