The Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, is a private liberal arts college that provides students an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills necessary to contribute to the world after graduation. The campus provides many resources for a dynamic education and enriching student life, including an upscale recreation center, planetarium and library. Students may join a Greek life fraternity or sorority or one of the school's many academic, recreational and multicultural clubs. Events are always happening on campus. Whether you want to see a play or art exhibit, catch a concert or volunteer for an outreach project, the school has opportunities for you. The school is only two blocks from downtown Marietta and within hours from Columbus, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, allowing students to partake in the cities' arts, entertainment and culture. Academics include more than 40 undergraduate programs in fields like Leadership, Petroleum Engineering, Fine Arts, Sciences, Education and Journalism. Students also have access to a wide variety of internships, study abroad program and professional field experience. Graduate degrees are offered in Psychology and Corporate Media and as a Physician's Assistant. Admissions require students to submit an official high school transcript, guidance counselor report, personal essay, ACT/SAT scores and a teacher evaluation. Marietta offers a wide range of scholarships for academic achievement, extracurricular involvement and community service. Other forms of financial aid include federal grants and loans.
