As a Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] at Applied Materials, you serve as the direct liaison with customers, collaborating closely to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment. Review equipment engineering specs and provide feedback to the factory for improvements

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Essential Duties:
Diagnosing and repairing of Caterpillar equipment including removing, repairing, assembling and installing.
Looking up and ordering parts from our parts department.
Planning and organizing skills with a particular emphasis on controlling job costs.
Perform all aspects of troubleshooting and repair work; remove, assemble and install motors, equipment and parts
Work in remote sites on a rotating schedule
Complete projects on marine vessels and in the field and shop locations

5+ years previous Caterpillar engine (marine or generator) experience is also preferred.
Must have the ability to work on a rotation schedule.

This role requires the ability to stand up at a minimum of eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping, kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds in small spaces and using appropriate rigging for items over 50 lbs.
You are required to provide your own tools.
Travel for extended periods of time to work with our customers will also be required; therefore, you must have and maintain a valid state driver's license.

As a Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] at Applied Materials, you serve as the direct liaison with customers, collaborating closely to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment. You'll use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues. Your responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems such as electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems. Additionally, you'll coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
Transitioning Military Technicians - Join us as FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS - As an Applied Materials Field Service Engineer, you will work side-by-side with our customer inside their factory. You will Install, Maintain, and Repair the most advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing systems in the world. During a routine work day, you may be working on systems that incorporate:

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:
* Installation and integration of multi-million dollar precision wafer fabrication systems thru customer handoff
* Utilize advanced tools (Oscilloscopes, DVM's, Advanced Software Diagnostic's, etc.) to ensure that maintenance and calibration are perfect
* Review equipment engineering specs and provide feedback to the factory for improvements
* Build and maintain customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication and the sharing of collective knowledge. Consistently demonstrates safety as a value.
* Opportunities for global travel to support our customers, manufacturing and/or R&D engineering labs
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* May be exposed to cramped work space, mechanical, electrical, and/or chemical hazards. Requires attentiveness to safety precautions at all times.
* Occasionally required to work rapidly for prolonged periods of time. Will routinely bend, stoop, reach, or walk.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. You will be the Aircraft Electrical & Electronics Mechanic \- Fabrication for the team which is responsible for installing preassembled wiring harnesses in conformance with predetermined routing and fastening in place with clips, brackets, and other holding devices\.
