Job Duties
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
Maintain a service van and its inventory.
Process paperwork after completion of each job.
Minimum Qualifications
Less than 2 years related experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Preferred Qualifications
Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

The pay range for this position is between $17.00 and $20.00 per hour guaranteed based on experience. Flat rate between $25 and $35
Responsible for the efficient, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Guest's vehicles, the Automotive Technician position is a great way to start your career at Monro. What will I be doing?
You'll be:
* A communicator: You are our master of diagnostics and fundamental in delighting your customers! You're comfortable sharing your knowledge and information in a way that your customers understand the situation and feel safe that their needs will be taken care of
* A self-starter: You will be content working independently, as well as collaborating as part of a team, driving to different locations in all weathers

What do I need?
You'll need:
* NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
* It's essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
* To be happy working shifts, which could include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

Diesel Technician Primary Responsibilities:
Fleet preventative maintenance services and DOT inspections on tractors and trailers
Repairing and troubleshooting truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision
Work with the latest technology of tooling and equipment to complete mechanical service and repairs
Diesel Technician qualified applicant should have
Valid state driver's license (CDL preferable)
Mobile service unit is supplied as well and many of the major tool necessary for service - hand tools and personal service equipment are required
Willingness and ability to travel to local customer's locations and to perform services
Proficient in and/or willing to get certificate for:
DOT Inspection
Air Brake Certification
-State Inspection and Emissions License preferred
