Continuous Miner Operator:

Monitor machine performance and adjust cutting speed, position, and height to ensure proper and safe operation.
Assist with roof control, ventilation checks, and section setup as required by mine plans and safety standards.
Maintain proper spacing between equipment, cables, and personnel to prevent hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
Communicate effectively with shuttle car operators, roof bolters, supervisors, and other crew members.
Maintenance and Repair:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on the roof bolting machine, including changing drill bits, hoses, and mechanical components.

General Operations:
Assist the section crew with other duties as assigned, which may include ventilation setup, clean-up, material handling, and installation of power cables/hoses.

2. Orientate assigned new clients to the services and procedures of the CDS Program, documenting all such orientation.
3. Serve as liaison with residential staff.
4. Responsible for the development of implementation strategies, including assessments, planning, coordination, facilitating the planning meeting in collaboration with the QIDP's.
5. Participate in staffings/person centered plan for all assigned clients.
6. Make referrals on behalf of assigned clients to appropriate resources.
7. Serve as an advocate for clients with other community resources. Emphasis should be placed upon providing supports and services in accordance with the clients' strengths, talents, and interests.
8. Spend a significant portion of time working with clients and direct care staff, demonstrating goal/outcome implementation and gathering input for developing future client goals/outcomes.
10. Write Monthly Progress Notes on goals/outcomes for assigned clients.
12. Serve as head coach for all Special Olympics activities for the CDS Program. Attend all coaches meetings and Special Olympics events and competitions.
13. Complete other duties as necessary or related to the successful completion of other stated position duties, or as mutually agreed.
14. Perform routine office and CDS activities, including driving, lifting 50 pounds, answering phones, & operating computer.
15. Participate in Person Centered Planning Facilitation training on a regular basis.
16. Hire, supervise, orientate, evaluate, and discipline community day staff. Perform 3 month and initial evaluations and subsequent annual evaluations. Supervise Human Service intern/students, etc.
17. Coordinate staff meetings. Attend other staff meetings as assigned: Clinicals, Safety Committee, Managers Meeting, Human Rights, and All Staff.
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skills, mental development equal to
(1) interacting with staff and clients to carry out CDS needs
(2) understanding the human services needs of clients
(3) experience and working knowledge of person centered planning,
(4) high school diploma
(5) two years of experience in serving individual with developmental disabilities/mental illness
(6) computer proficiency
(7) Demonstrated ability to work with others in a variety of professional relationships.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Have proper license at all times and ability to operate Agency vehicles. Have normal or corrective appliances that make normal hearing and eyesight, as well as clarity of speech in order to be understood. Be able to lift at least 50 pounds, have the strength and agility to climb at least two flights of stairs, the constitution to handle (with proper protection) client's body excrements, and emotionally stable enough to react in a prescribed manner to a client in crisis.
