The Dir of Client Services will maintain and develop assigned client relationships to assure compliant, operational transparency between the client and the SNC enterprise. This person will also review, on a regular basis, the potential for new business opportunities with assigned clients as well as refer identified opportunities to the Senior Vice President for approval prior to submitting to the enterprise review and approval process.
Essential Functions:
Regularly visit (on average 2 times a year) assigned clients to review status and direction of the authorized, active program(s) and promote additional business opportunity.
Client relationship building and management at the executive level
Develop maintain and distribute documentation for each client visit.
Monitor and update premium projections for all clients.
Perform diligence and implementation process for all new clients, including producing appropriate documentation for review and approval by the client.
Review all audits for assigned clients prior to distribution to our Clients, Brokers and Reinsurers.
Maintain familiarity with all non-assigned clients by review of documents and attendance at key meetings.
Monitor audit process and provide support to assure that the distribution of reports meets agreed upon regulatory guidelines. Review and take appropriate action, to assure assigned clients have corrected outstanding audit findings.
Notify Program Services management, client management and reinsurer management when a critical audit finding is identified and/or resolved
For assigned clients facilitate the development and implementation of a plan of resolution for critical audit findings and communicate to appropriate parties.
Coordinate and provide oversight to vendors as assigned by supervisor, such vendors include; underwriting auditors, claim auditors, TPA's.
Participate as required in the evaluation and selection of outside vendors.
Assure assigned clients maintain their premium trust accounts in accordance with the premium trust agreements and contracts.
Support system initiatives as required.
Develop, maintain and implement a business relationship plan for all assigned clients.
Provide required resource and problem resolution assistance to all Program Services functions to resolve outstanding chronic/acute client issues.
Solicit and/or triage business expansion opportunities with current assigned clients.
Utilize current technology to develop and deliver presentations as required.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform examinations on programs as needed
Review and approve audit related expenses and forward to the Vice President Client Services for review and approval.
Monitor the content and issuance of assigned client audits, including the action items outlined on the audit cover letter.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong communications skills (i.e. written, oral and negotiation).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong desktop skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred
Progressively more responsible insurance management experience.
10+ years of property and casualty industry experience in one or more disciplines (i.e. audit, accounting, claims, marketing, IT, etc.)
Ability to travel 30% - 40%

About the team:
Extracting value from data is critical to delivering Markel's strategic ambitions. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
