Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO programs.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Experience in food manufacturing or a related industry.
Technical or vocational training in industrial electricity.
Ability to work both in office and on the plant floor, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Compensation Range: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr

We are looking for a highly effective fieldservice capability technology Delivery Lead to join our Song team. An individual filling this role will be responsible for the overall success of fieldservice technology focused Service Experience programs, focusing on the client relationship, financials, project delivery, resourcing, and overall program health. Job DescriptionFiber Splicing Instructor Location: Schaumburg, IL Job Type: Full-Time 1st shift 8 am- 5 pm hours very Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience) About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Instructor to lead our hands-on training and mentoring program at our corporate training facility in Schaumburg, IL. This position is ideal for a seasoned fiber optic technician who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and shaping the next generation of telecom professionals.
Note: This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have significant field experience in fiber splicing and testing.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct classroom and lab instruction in fusion and mechanical splicing techniques
Demonstrate proper use of splicing tools, OTDRs, power meters, cleavers, and related equipment
Guide trainees through cable preparation, tray management, and enclosure installation
Promote and enforce OSHA-compliant safety practices
Develop and update curriculum and training materials aligned with FOA, ETA, or BICSI certification standards
Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and track progress
Maintain training labs and ensure all equipment and materials are in proper working order
Collaborate with industry partners to ensure training reflects current workforce needs
Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience in fiber splicing and testing
