Your Impact
House Beautiful is seeing a creative, driven, and meticulously organized Senior Market & Partnerships Editor to join our team. This role is focused on creating engaging and compelling editorial content that 1) drives traffic to custom commerce experiences, 2) creates consumer and partner revenue, and 3) grows House Beautiful's audience by increasing brand awareness through partnerships. This position reports to the Digital Director, as most of the KPIs fall under their purview.
What You'll Do:
● Ideate and Oversee a quarterly pace of awards franchises: Live Better Awards, Best Home Stores, Best Hotels, etc. Work with our accolades team to create partnerships/increase revenue
● Own HB Deals-our program which secures discount codes for consumers: Secure and manage partner deals for both All Access (our members-only program) and for general HB consumers-turn HB Deals into traffic-driving opportunities and produce site content and work with social team to amplify them
● Work with PR team to increase visibility of awards franchises and HB Deals
● Liaise with affiliate partners: onboard consistent new partners, expand diversity, oversee edit and social coverage around new partners
● Oversee weekly HB Obsessed column, where the magazine's editors spotlight their favorite new products, create a mix of advertiser placement and editor picks. Work with Director of Editorial Projects to create a balanced mix of brands
● Work with our Branded Content editors to develop HB-sold programs: Approve concepts, manage output, connect with editors/producers as needed
● Ideate and Manage Editorial Partnership projects with Director of Editorial Partnerships: coordinate with partners and oversee content (ex. Habitat for Humanity) opportunities to support franchises and packages as needed
● Work with e-commerce team to promote best practices and updates the editorial team on new partners and deals (so that they can support and promote in stories where appropriate)
●Ensure content includes key partners and 15% pledge in our shopping and product review coverage
● Represent our brand at partnership events, on panels, and during House Beautiful press opportunities to support franchises and packages as needed
Who you are:
● You have at least five years experience producing editorial content for digital and print publications
● You have familiarity with analytics tools (GA, Looker)
● You have relationships with affiliate partners and are comfortable representing the brand in securing deals.
● You have strong experience in service journalism and SEO
● You're obsessively organized and can hit a deadline under pressure
● You have a passion for home decor and interior design
● You have experience mentoring younger writers in an editorial environment
