Summer Internship Program Overview

Novozymes' Summer Internship Program provides a wide range of opportunities for current college students. We pride ourselves in offering real-world projects and providing interns with multiple networking opportunities to help you learn and grow both personally and professionally.

Our openings encompass the entire process that we utilize to discover, develop, and produce a microbial product for our customers. You will work intimately within one of the following departments:

* BioAgriculture R&D
* BioControl R&D
* Manufacturing Operations: Production & Maintenance
* Production Process Engineering & Project Execution

Note: Novozymes' hiring managers will match candidates to the group and project that best aligns with your interests (as detailed in your cover letter and/or resume).

Summer Internships will last for approximately 10 weeks, are full time, and will start in mid-May 2023. In this position, you will be given a project that is feasible for completion in the program timeline and be mentored by a Senior Scientist, Engineer, or Operations Department Manager. Projects will likely include experience in the some of the following areas: large-scale liquid fermentation, biological systems engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, vegetable oil processing, microbiology, biochemistry, and plant science. For example, recent internship projects included optimization of production scale centrifugation practices, developing descaling processes for industrial equipment, and formulation for plant coatings. All these projects support our customers worldwide!

An ideal candidate will be:

* Enrolled in an AS or BS degree program focusing in Computer Science, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or Agriculture related concentrations.
* Minimum 3.0 GPA (Include GPA on resumé).
* Previous experience or strong interest in working in a laboratory or manufacturing setting.
* Able to arrange their own housing & transportation needs near Salem, VA.

BAT GERMANY IS LOOKING FOR AN INTERN FOR THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT

BAT Germany is looking for an Intern for the Marketing department. The position is part of the Combustible Category Team, focused on driving the development and implementation of brand activities across Central Europe North Area markets (with focus on Germany & Austria).

As part of the internship programme, you will have the opportunity to boost your career development by gaining practical experience in a dynamic, multicultural environment. The various projects and tasks allow for gaining hands-on knowledge, building a strong business acumen, and developing functional and interpersonal skills.

GRADE: Internship

FUNCTION: Marketing

SALARY: 2.112.50 € / month

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed term for 6 months

CITY & COUNTRY: Hamburg, Germany

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

* Assist the Category team in developing and executing brand plans to meet brand objectives and strategies
* Monitor and report brand performance in a clear, concise manner
* Support the Category team in the development and deployment of activation campaigns
* Engage with the creative agency to ensure brand activation programs are performed according to the brand guidelines and within the agreed lead times and allocated budgets
* Cross-functional cooperation with internal stakeholders across different departments to ensure plans are delivered on time
* Contribute to team projects/initiatives as assigned

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

* A Bachelor's or master's student or graduate in Marketing or Business Administration / Economics.
* Previous working experience in an FMCG company, together with international exposure (either through studies or in a professional working environment) are a plus
* Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Fluent in German and English
* Analytical skills
* Great interpersonal and communication skills
* Organized, proactive, good attention to details.
