You will partner cross-functionally with E-Commerce, Lifecycle, and Creative to drive brand-level messaging, guide creative requirements, and recommend new programs that deliver measurable outcomes. While you may occasionally produce assets or content, your primary function is strategy, direction-setting, and oversight, not daily execution. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy & Planning Develop and own IMS's social media strategy, including channel priorities, thematic pillars, posting frameworks, and audience engagement methods. Build and maintain the annual and quarterly editorial calendar, aligning content with marketing campaigns, business goals, and seasonal priorities. Establish the community engagement strategy, setting standards for customer interaction, moderation, and online brand voice. Identify strategic opportunities for growth, including platform expansion, creator partnerships, and new content formats. Creative Direction & Brand Leadership Define creative requirements, concept direction, and messaging guidance for social, lifecycle, and campaign content. Oversee creative development executed by designers, contractors, or team members, ensuring quality and brand alignment. Approve or refine content concepts, providing direction on storytelling, tone, visual structure, and brand representation. Maintain ownership of brand consistency across all digital channels, exercising judgment on when to evolve or interpret guidelines. Analytics & Insights Use platform performance data, customer behavior, and audience insights to make strategic recommendations on content direction, resource allocation, and creative investments. Produce recurring insights reports for marketing leadership, identifying what is driving growth and where the strategy should shift. Evaluate the effectiveness of IMS's digital presence and recommend strategic adjustments to improve engagement, retention, and reach. Community & Influencer/Creator Programs Develop and manage the creator/influencer strategy, including outreach approach, partnership guidelines, and evaluation criteria. Guide customer storytelling initiatives, determining which projects, use cases, and voices best align with IMS brand priorities. Establish processes for community-led content, UGC approvals, and creator collaboration frameworks. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with Lifecycle Marketing to influence content used in email, SMS, and nurture programs. Collaborate with E-Commerce to align digital storytelling with merchandising, product launches, and category priorities. Lead internal briefings for campaigns and content initiatives, providing clarity on objectives, audiences, and creative direction. Consult with leadership on emerging trends, platform changes, and digital community opportunities that impact brand strategy. ABOUT YOU: You are a strategic, creative marketing professional with experience shaping digital content direction and community strategy. You thrive at the intersection of storytelling, data, and brand-building. You are comfortable making decisions, setting priorities, and influencing the organization's digital presence. You enjoy developing frameworks-not just executing tasks-and you can translate insights into strategies that drive measurable improvements. You balance creativity with operational clarity and lead others toward a cohesive and high-performing digital brand presence. You excel in environments that value ownership, independent judgment, cross-functional partnership, and innovation. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field; equivalent strategic experience considered. 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content strategy, digital marketing, or a related marketing leadership role. Demonstrated experience owning content or social strategy-not only executing it.
