Senior Planner (Commercial Space Systems) Position Profile: This position is responsible for all tasks relative to the management of production and development work orders and supporting MRP and non MRP requirements. Key duties include the timely and accurate planning, scheduling, processing, follow up and rescheduling of all work orders, system maintenance, and resolving issues with non conforming material. Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule and ensure timely completion of production work orders through the entire production lifecycle Anticipate and manage component shortages and facilitate resolution Perform planning and production tasks, including but not limited to anticipating program needs, and expediting material requirements for production operations. Develop, coordinate and communicate the daily production schedule, factoring in customer order and forecasted demand to achieve on time delivery, maintenance, new product development, inventory availability and capacity. Measure performance of all critical factors to ensure compliance to plans to include publishing of KPI's. Lead issue resolution when products are behind schedule or at risk of being behind schedule. Release requisitions to Purchasing on a timely basis as required Interface with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing and management to provide timely status of work products and / or problem identification and resolution. Maintain the ERP system integrity to drive material and production schedules and execute processes per requirements. Maintain ERP system parameters including material master data and performance criteria Own customer service performance of assigned products and resources. Perform analysis and reporting on production data, and communicate findings and recommendations to management. Prepare and present regular reports for management on production performance, schedule adherence, and capacity utilization. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or at least 10 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree Minimum 7 + years planning/scheduling and supporting production cells in fast pace mixed product manufacturing environment CPIM or CSCP designation highly preferred Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles Strong proficiency in ERP/ MRP systems (Epicor preferred), planning and scheduling activities as well as Engineering drawings/prints, Microsoft Excel and data analysis/ Understanding of and experience with Master Scheduling and Capacity Planning. Excellent verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, etc. Strong computer literacy, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc. Must be a US Citizen Additional Duties / Responsibilities: Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).
