This is a part-time 20 hour per week, 12-month, grant-funded position. The Parents As Teachers (PAT) Home Visitor (Parent Educator) is responsible for providing PAT services in a home-based model. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in child development or education field
Parents As Teachers certification preferred.
Experience in early childhood, education, child development, social work or other related social science preferred
Ability to support PAT mission and follow policies and procedures
Ability to work in client homes in a variety of conditions

Responsibilities: Reports to Director of Home Visiting Services.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Drive, in personal vehicle, to family homes within Crittenden County to deliver home-based activities and curriculum that enhance social-emotional, physical and cognitive development while delivering education and support.
Drive, in personal vehicle, to community partners
Identify and recruit families most in need of Home Visiting Services.
Work closely with Home Visiting Services Director to identify and serve eligible families.
Ensure family eligibility requirements met, according to grant funder's requirements.
Responsible for new families' screenings and orientation activities.
Responsible for data entry and record keeping on all program families on caseload.
Assist families in developing and meeting goals.
Administer assessments required by program grant funders.
Provide and monitor services to families in order to maintain model fidelity.
Make referrals to other community resources as needed.
Act as advocate or liaison between families and other community agencies.
Prepare individual home visits using approved evidence based curriculum.
Meet with Director bi-monthly per program standard.
Attend Team Meetings bi-monthly.
Attend and assist in planning Group Connections meetings in order to maintain model fidelity.
Complete required Professional Development for state and national offices including 30+ hours annually.
Work with the Director and program team members to prepare for and complete accreditation activities and documentation.
Attend ASU Mid-South meetings where appropriate.
Complete ASU Mid-South trainings where appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
Proposed Hourly Rate: $12-$16/hour based on experience, education, and certifications

Make personal property assessments both in person, by phone, fax, email and by verifying online assessments.
Use titles and/or bill of sale, assessing the personal property of individuals and businesses, for the purpose of taxation by phone, online, or in person. This includes vehicles, boats, utility trailers, motorcycles, ATV, campers, and motor homes.
Handle large volume of calls, occasionally with disgruntled citizens, with professionalism and tact. Be able to establish control of the conversation, despite high emotions, in person or by phone.
Ensure proper documentation of all information needed for assessments is organized for scanning to ensure proper record retention and retrieval.
Make proper updates using copies of recorded deeds, court orders, death certificates and other probate related documents.
Conduct all liaison activities in a professional manner to ensure maximum cooperation between and among other Saline County offices, other Assessor offices, and other state and local agencies.

Assist customers with required forms including Commercial Rendition Forms, Homestead Credit Applications, and Exemption Applications.

Provide support, individual, group and/or family therapy for MBH patients and families, as needed.
Assist in developing treatment-planning goals/objectives with patients, families and treatment team members.

Cover weekends and evenings as needed.
The individual employed in this position may accept other reasonable assignments, which may be necessary for efficient operation of assigned programs as there is time and opportunity.
Note: This position will be evaluated by the Director of Clinical Services, the Hospital Administrator and/or the MFH Executive Committee at least every two years.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in applicable field.
Must hold valid License as a LAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LPE.
Ability to document accurately and professionally.
Ability to understand and implement extensive training and to apply that training to the implementation of a comprehensive program of care for patients.
Ability to perform physical demands required by Crisis Prevention Intervention.
Ability as a self-motivator and the aptitude to work in a high stress fast paced position with minimal supervision.
Must remain current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training and CPR/FA.
Requires the strength and stamina to perform clinical duties.
Experience working with “at-risk” youth or other populations with special needs preferred.
Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions. Must be physically capable of sitting and standing for several hours at a time.
Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items.

Must have one of the following current credentials: Masters Degree in Social Work and licensed by the state of Arkansas; or Masters Degree and licensed by the State of Arkansas as a Psychological Examiner; or Masters Degree and a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Arkansas. Must be 21 years of age or older.
