Master's degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited program.
Current LPC-Associate license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.
Strong interest in clinical growth, trauma-informed care, and holistic approaches.
Solid communication, organization, and time management skills.
Comfortable using or learning Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Care Coordinator - Mental Health Clinic Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site Starting at $18.00/hour
Next STEPS Worldwide is a rapidly growing outpatient mental health clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological, therapeutic, and nutritional services. With 30 locations across Texas-and more opening soon-we are driven by a mission to support the whole person through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. Our team includes licensed psychologists, therapists, dietitians, and provider support professionals working together to deliver exceptional care.
We are seeking a Care Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting mental health operations. This role is vital to keeping our clinic running smoothly by providing administrative and client service support to both our providers and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Manage 50-60 client calls per day in a call center-style environment.
Use our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to:
Schedule appointments
Process records requests
Relay provider recommendations
Provide high-level customer service and social support via phone and email.
Support providers with daily tasks and care coordination.
Review reports to ensure care and services are delivered efficiently.
Maintain organization of client documents, emails, and meeting notes.
Perform general administrative and office duties as assigned.
Maintain a professional demeanor with clients, coworkers, and providers.
Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar programs.
Ability to multitask using multiple monitors, type while on calls, and avoid putting clients on hold.
Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Education & Experience
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree.
Background in social work or healthcare strongly preferred (MSW ideal).
Experience working in a medical or mental health office setting is a plus.
