Function flexibly in stressful situations, maintaining calm control, up to and including conducting high-quality crisis intervention when directed In the role of Therapist: Facilitate group therapy and individual therapy with appropriate clients and family members as directed. Conduct discharge planning; contacts outpatient services, inpatient treatment providers, extended care facilities, halfway houses, and other resources to assist clients in developing and establishing a detailed continuing care plan. Assist in the development of the clients treatment plan with other members of a treatment team and updates the treatment plan as policy and procedure delineates. Assess clients progress in treatment and document through progress notes and other electronic documentation as directed. Develop and present lectures and educational presentations to clients on subjects pertinent to substance use disorders as directed. Clinical Support / Case Management In the role of Therapist: Contact family or significant third parties to provide information and arrange for participation in the clients admission or discharge. Administrative Obtain pre-admission documentation, signatures and data per policy as well as supporting financial data from third party payors and/or family members. Maintain and monitor client records to ensure documentation is completed within program guidelines, meeting TBI standards and timeframes. Support policy-driven UA, BAC and Vitals as directed. Provide timely follow-up calls to clients, family members and referral sources. Present lectures and educational presentations to clients on subjects pertinent to substance use disorders as directed. In the role of Therapist: Perform appropriately as a treatment team member to ensure quality service to clients. Demonstrate the clinical knowledge and professional skills required to provide care or arrange for the provision of appropriate care for all clients. Interpret the appropriate data to identify each clients requirements, ensure and document that age-specific issues are being addressed; demonstrate age-specific competencies. Policy-driven UA and BAC as directed. Qualifications Masters degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required. At least one years training and/or clinical experience with pending licensure / certification in substance abuse counseling preferred. Clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment setting preferred. Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities preferred Prior work in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment environments preferred.
