This role will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and facilitating group and individual sessions for patients seeking assistance with substance use disorders. As the Outpatient Counselor you will: Conduct comprehensive substance use evaluations for new patients to determine their individual needs and the level of care required. Collaborate with community partners to conduct evaluations in person and via telehealth for incarcerated patients. Complete engagement activities and partner with Supervisor to ensure patients exiting incarceration are assigned a regular Counselor upon release. Lead group counseling sessions for patients; providing education, support, and guidance in a supportive group setting. Collaborate with the clinical team on patients' individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, outlining specific goals and objectives. Maintain timely, accurate and confidential records of patient sessions, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and group attendance records, in compliance with agency policies and regulations. Provide urinalysis monitoring on an as needed basis. Requirements Qualified candidates will have a bachelors degree in a human services field and one year of related work experience. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass an extensive background check ASAC offers competitive compensation, this role starts at $24.07 with additional compensation for candidates with extensive experience.
