Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Lightheart Mental Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $43 - $57 per billable unit. About the role
We are seeking an experienced, highly-motivated, and business-minded Lead Commercial Counsel on the Legal & Compliance Team. What you will do

What you will need

Mental Health & Disabilities Specialist - Center for Families Childcare (Temporary) SALARY: $36.93/hour for 15 hour per week schedule, some evenings may be required DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the Mental Health & Disabilities Specialist is to support a program-wide culture that promotes children's mental health, social and emotional well-being, and overall health. The Mental Health & Disabilities Specialist consults with Teachers, Administrators, and parents in their work with children, supports Teachers in establishing and strengthening healthy parent-child relationships, and assists in the IEP/IFSP referral process for child mental health and disability services.
This is an exempt temporary/part-time position that reports to the Director for the Center for Families.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Identify economic, cultural, physical, and environmental factors which support or limit a child's functioning

* Assess observations and data, identifying trends and patterns, analyzing, drawing conclusions and making recommendations
* Evaluate developmental and behavioral screenings and make referrals where needed
* Participate in conferences with parents and teachers when disabilities and/or mental health issues are present
* Represent the child and their parents with community agencies in regard to mental health and disabilities
* Complete documentation, data entry, and reports in an accurate and timely manner
* Monitor in-kind documentation for children who are receiving special needs services with outside agencies
* Utilize rack data from completed of Ages & Stages Questionnaire (behavioral & developmental) on all enrolled children
* Track and review Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) for children and ensure that staff are developing activities and goals around these plans
* Develop community resources around Mental Health Agencies in community meet with staff when approved to discuss Mental Health or Disability issues
* Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the Director for the Center for Families.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor s degree in mental health for children, special education OR related field.
* Two years of work experience in mental health or special education early childhood setting
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Licensed and/or certified in mental or behavior health services
Experience providing mental health and disabilities services to low-income families with children birth to three years old
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The ability to sit at a desk/computer station, bend, stoop, walk and generally move around the office to consult with others, work within a busy environment and remain focused on tasks. Inventory management requires some lifting and moving of objects up to 30lbs. Excellent communication skills are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not their first language. This also includes the ability to produce clearly written documents. Those who are multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.
COMPENSATION:
Salary is $36.93/hour for 15 hour per week schedule and is based on the Edmonds CC administrative/exempt salary schedule. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a 6-month non-permanent position. 15 hours per week. Hours would typically be between 9-4 M-Th and Fri 1-4pm. Some evenings may be required.

The position is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.

We are seeking a motivated person committed to providing vocational rehabilitation services to clients with disabilities. This position is located at our North Seattle Community Services Office.
For those assigned to King County, employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
In cooperation with other agencies and service providers, you will work with customers to complete comprehensive assessments and develop an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) to achieve their employment goals. In this role, you will independently provide vocational rehabilitation counseling and case management to a caseload of students, youth, and adults with disabilities to assist them in achieving a competitive employment outcome.
Some of what you will be doing:
* You will learn to serve a caseload of 50-110 DVR customers.
* Determine each customer's eligibility for vocational rehabilitation services necessary to achieve their employment goal.
* Provide vocational rehabilitation counseling and support.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of customer needs identifying the disability-related barriers to employment that require VR services.
* Arrange and interpret results of diagnostic testing and other vocational rehabilitation assessment tools; obtain benefit reports and interpret results to assist and counsel customers.
* Assist customers in developing and implementing an Individual Plan for Employment and monitor progress toward completion of employment goals.
* Maintain close working relationships with those who jointly serve DVR customers; promote DVR programs to the public and employers and conduct outreach in the community to share information about DVR services.
* Lead group orientations, workshops, and related activities to facilitate informed choices and prepare customers for employment.
Who should apply:
* Current Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC).
* Or a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, counseling, or a field related to vocational rehabilitation (such as one that promotes the physical, psychosocial, or vocational well-being of people with disabilities).
* Or a master's degree with at least 18 quarter or 12 semester credit hours of rehabilitation counseling courses, plus 6 months of paid/unpaid vocational counseling, job placement, vocational assessment, or other areas of rehabilitation counseling experience.
OR
* Bachelor's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling or reasonably related field, and accepted or enrolled in a rehabilitation counseling or related master's program that will be completed within two years, plus one year paid/unpaid experience consisting of:
* Direct work with people with disabilities in a setting such as an independent living center.
* Or direct service or advocacy activities that provide you with experience and skills in working with persons with disabilities.
* Or direct experience as an employer, as a small business owner or operator, or in self-employment, or other experience in education, human resources, recruiting, or experience in supervising employees, training, or other activities that provide experience in integrated employment environments or in areas that assist others find employment (i.e. WorkSource).

What You'll Do:
The Case Manager III facilitates admission intakes, treatment planning, discharge planning, obtaining collateral, individual therapy, group counseling, life lesson skills, clinical interventions, crisis management, family therapy, support system development, assists in the legal process and initiates personalized care for individuals who are in crisis and stabilizing from crisis. * Provides internal education regarding DBT, trauma informed care, harm reduction, and service plan documentation to enhance staffs' ability to effectively address and manage crisis situations.
* Provides case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration. Conducts crisis interventions and follow-up as necessary.
* Maintain the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including documentation of activities performed as part of the service delivery process. Obtain signatures from individuals regarding treatment, as necessary. Document all services and individuals' activities in the medical record regarding brief interventions, coordination of care, discharge planning, treatment planning, and any other pertinent information.
* Prepares clinical reports and individualized service plans utilizing agency electronic clinical documentation software. Ensures documentation complies with best clinical practices, contracts, regulatory, and other legal requirements.
* Maintains a working knowledge of the Washington State behavioral health system and potential funding sources.
* Participate in individual and group supervision as required. Participate in ongoing education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improve competency. Demonstrate competency through post-testing, skill observation, and performance as assessed by direct supervisor.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
* Master's degree in behavioral health, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related discipline
* Unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) in Washington State and/or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or associate license (LICSWA, LMHCA, etc.)
* 3 years of experience in mental health, substance abuse treatment, or relevant work
* Knowledge of the Washington State behavioral health system of care and resources within it
* Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques
* The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company's exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
* Complete all credentialing requirements within the required time period, including but not limited to obtaining a National Provider Identifier (NPI), Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and any other necessary credentials as required for the role
It would be great if you had:
* Experience working with children, youth, families, and adults with behavioral health issues
* Knowledge of and experience with the Washington State involuntary treatment process
