Job Description *Florida certification in School Social Work (grades PK-12) is required* POSITION OVERVIEW The Social Worker is a year-round, certified position that is responsible for working closely with families, school counselors, teachers, students and school leader(s) to enhance the school's ability to meet its academic mission, especially where home, school, and community collaboration is key to achieving that mission. The work of the licensed Social Worker is to identify and support students and their families in eliminating barriers that impact learning. This role reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Operations and will work regionally with the Manager of Student Support Services. SPECIFIC DUTIES Conduct assessments of individuals and families with the goal of improving student social, emotional, behavioral and academic outcomes. Our current starting salary for a first-year school social worker is $50,000 and this would be adjusted for years of experience and the required Master's degree that is required for this position.
