The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) is an independent contract position working early morning hours during the school week RATE: Pay for independent contract work is $75.00/hr Current Needs: Temple, PA - home- 8am-9am Wilson School District -home 6am-7am RESPONSIBILITIES: Monday - Friday, 1 hour/day during the school week to provide services in the home setting before school hours to help an individual transition from home to school day Services will be provided for an extended period of weeks or months Work with school aged students with emotional or behavioral needs Transportation from the client's home to school may be required No services are provided if there is no school Transfer coping skills and interventions to parent/caregiver Requirements EDUCATION / EXEPRIENCE: Master's degree from an accredited university in a mental health / human service study such as Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Education, etc. Additional 6 months work experience providing clinical therapy in an individual, family, or group format - preferred. Position Details Family Based Therapist (FBT) works as one half of a team which provides treatment services to families including therapy and counseling to child and family. FBT helps with skills training and education designed to enable families to care for their mental health children at home. FBT travels to client homes, other agencies, and community resources for the purpose of arranging and providing community and home-based services for children, adolescents, and families. The Family Based Therapist (FBT) works in collaboration with a case manager as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide time-limited intensive community based ESFT treatment.
