General Description

About The Role The Wave of Clearwater and The Wave of Edgewater provide women's-only residential and outpatient mental health treatment. We are seeking a licensed therapist to serve as a floater between both facilities located less than five miles apart. This role supports clinical services at whichever location has the greatest need due to new admissions, caseload distribution, and program expansion.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinician who thrives in a structured environment, adjusts quickly to changing priorities, and maintains high standards of documentation and client care.
Position Overview
The Program Therapist - Floater delivers the same clinical duties as our on-site Program Therapists and will provide therapy coverage as needed. Responsibilities include group therapy, treatment planning, individual sessions, assessments, crisis support, and interdisciplinary collaboration across both sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct individual therapy for adult female clients based on individualized treatment goals
• Facilitate group therapy utilizing evidence-based, trauma-informed, and women-centered modalities
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within required timelines
• Maintain timely documentation in our EMR (ALLEVA)
• Provide crisis support, safety planning, and clinical intervention when needed
• Attend treatment team meetings, contribute to discharge planning, and collaborate with clinical, admissions, nursing, and operations teams
• Uphold confidentiality, professional ethics, and regulatory documentation standards
• Adapt to day-to-day program needs, working between both facilities as scheduled
Required Qualifications
• Minimum three (3) year's experience providing mental health therapy in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of treatment planning, clinical documentation, therapeutic modalities, and behavioral health regulations
• Ability to learn technology quickly, including EMR systems and digital workflows
• Strong organization skills and ability to shift effectively between caseloads and locations
• Comfort working within a structured, compliance-driven environment
Required Licensure (Florida)
Applicants must hold one of the following:
• RMHC, LMHC, RCSWI, LCSW, RMFT, or LMFT
• Registered interns must have active supervision and direct experience with adult mental health treatment
Preferred Skills & Experience
• Experience in residential or outpatient mental health treatment
• Experience working with women's issues, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders
• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, MI, or other evidence-based modalities
• Comfortable with high documentation standards and fast-paced clinical scheduling
