Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
Provides evaluation, counseling and therapeutic services to chemically dependent patients/families assessing patient's social, psychological, emotional, financial, cultural problems and chemical abuse history.
Makes recommendations for treatment and acts as a liaison and patient/family advocate with the treatment network.
Maintains open communication with referral sources, families, or others involved in the patient's treatment regarding the patient's progress, discharge plans and aftercare plans.
Supports the patient and family throughout treatment by maintaining open communication with referral resources, patient and family. Assists the patient and family in working towards positive outcomes.
Coordinates the patient's care with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Develops individual treatment plans based upon information gathered.
Facilitates programming for court ordered referrals.
Assists patient and family with adjustment to illness, motivation for treatment and realistic planning for post treatment care. Coordinates the completion of the Aftercare Plan with patient and recommends post-treatment referrals for patients.
Documents per department guidelines.
Maintains current knowledge of behavioral managed care and the precertification and utilization review activities necessary to obtain treatment approval.
Participates in covering weekend inpatient evaluations on a rotating basis.
Provides statistical data or special reports as required
Development and patient Education
Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance clinical practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
Participates in community education as assigned.
Serves on professional organization committees or boards as appropriate.
Assess and chooses teaching strategies and therapy modalities appropriate to the patient's and their families' age specific needs, culture, gender, readiness to learn and level of comprehension.
Consults appropriate resources within Behavioral Health Division to provide specialized education.
Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
Provides educational in-services as assigned.
Participates in conjoint conferences with patients, concerned persons and referral sources as appropriate.
Develops, promotes and maintains a good relationship with self-help programs such as AA, NA and Al-Anon.
Participates in mandatory education and department staff meetings, per established guidelines.
Other duties as assigned.
Provides assessments for patients with diagnostic impression and treatment recommendations. Supports patients who are seeking help to become abstinent from substances. Teaches patients what the disease of addiction is, and it's signs and symptoms. Helps patients identify resources in their community which support ongoing abstinence. Teaches family members and loved ones about addiction disease and what their part is in the recovery process.

Description
Our ABA department is growing, and we would love to have you join us! We are a clinic-based pediatric facility that provides high-quality ABA therapy to clients with challenging behavior. Therapists in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) aim to reduce challenging behaviors and teach replacement skills to clients with autism spectrum disorders under the direct supervision of BCBAs. Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBAs) are masters-level clinicians that complete initial assessments, design treatment protocols, and provide ongoing training to behavior technicians throughout a client's therapy journey.
Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide direct therapy to children using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to improve the lives of children and their families. A day in the life of an RBT might look like:
Consistent, block scheduling that allows you to see 2-3 clients per day with no more than 2.5 hours with each client
1 hour lunch and 1 hour of “documentation” time daily for full-time staff
Implement therapy with a wide range of clients, typically aged 3-16 in 1:1, group, home, or community settings
Teach your clients important skills including ready-to-learn, play, functional living, communication and social skills
Follow detailed behavior intervention plans written by board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) to help reduce challenging behavior and increase replacement skills
Collect data on the programs and behavior plans implemented with your clients in order to assist with evidence-based decision-making
Create materials for clients as needed
Communicate with families before and after therapy sessions
Upon hiring, an RBT certification is not necessary. Training via online video modules, role-playing with other RBTs, and hands-on implementation with the assistance of our BCBAs is provided at the onset of the position, and new employees are compensated for their training time . Easterseals also covers the certification exam cost (one-time) and annual renewal costs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Demonstrated computer skills including word processing, data processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Ability to supervise children safely and independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with children with disabilities, autism diagnosis, problem behaviors, etc.

Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our support services team at Lincoln Trail Elementary. The ideal candidate will provide social-emotional support, crisis intervention, and collaboration with families, staff, and community agencies to ensure that all students can access a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. The School Social Worker will be responsible for conducting special education evaluations and supporting students with 504s/IEPs. This position will begin on 11/18/2025.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) and current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement.
Salary/Benefits
* Starting salary for this position is $46,784 (MS+30 Lane placement on the attached 2025-2026 Teacher Salary Schedule).
* A $5,000.00 sign on bonus is available with a three year commitment to the district.
* Licensed Clinical Social Workers can earn an additional $1,500 per year stipend.

Your Role:
Assessment Clinician - Heritage Behavioral Health Center - Decatur, Illinois
As an Assessment Clinician, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking mental health and substance use treatment in Clinton, Illinois. This role provides same-day access for individuals ensuring timely and compassionate care. You will conduct intake, screening, and comprehensive assessments using IM+CANS and ASAM, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver crisis intervention services.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide same-day access assessments for individuals presenting mental health or substance use concerns.
Complete intake, screening, and diagnostic assessments using IM+CANS and ASAM criteria.
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate referrals for ongoing services.
Deliver crisis intervention for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health symptoms.
Conducting risk assessments for suicide, self-harm, and violence.
Implementing de-escalation strategies and crisis stabilization techniques.
Creating safety plans and connecting individuals to appropriate levels of care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and state standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Mental health and substance use disorders, evidence-based interventions, and recovery-oriented care.
Crisis intervention models and trauma-informed practices.
Community resources and systems of care for behavioral health.
Skills in:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans.
Applying de-escalation techniques and managing high-stress situations effectively.
Building rapport and engaging individuals seeking support with empathy and professionalism.
Abilities to:
Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Respond flexibly to individuals needing an array of supports and referrals
Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and community partners.
Maintain composure and sound judgment under pressure.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human service field
Graduate degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or other human service fields
Certification as Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), LSW, or LPC preferred
Required to obtain certification (CADC) or licensure (LSW, LPC) within 2 years of employment
Minimum of 21 years of age
Reliable means of transportation
