Job Overview
The lead counselor helps to create curriculum, develops and directs an original musical with campers. Requirements
Lead Counselor in KidsAct! and TeensAct! Camps. Under the direction of the Director of Education, lead all activities and, together with the music director, direct and devise original shows with campers.

Duties Description The Addiction Counselor 2 will supervise a case management team providing addiction services and supports in addition to performing other duties related to the care and counseling of clients. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

We have the honor of offering homeless/low income individuals and families in need a place to call home while working on self-identified goals. Working with the households to achieve these goals, maintain benefits and achieve a personal level of independence is a snapshot of the services being offered in Supportive Housing. Other activities include outings to local attractions, game nights, creative art projects and additional recreational activities. Monthly meetings with tenants and their residential specialist will allow continued progress towards achieving personal and family milestones, while strengthening the professional relationship. What your day might look like:
Conducts initial evaluations and identifies critical impairments that become the focus of treatment form effective planning and implementation of treatment;
Documents all aspects of the evaluation and treatment process to facilitate client care, effective treatment coordination, and ensure regulatory compliance;
Maintains a caseload of individual clients for solution focused services.
Provides clinical treatment including individual, family, and group therapies, and crisis intervention services as clinically indicated to support positive treatment outcomes for each person served in accordance with the treatment plan;
Develops clear treatment strategies based on specific needs of each consumer and composes a formal treatment plan to the treatment team and client;

Your skills and qualifications:
Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work; LMHC or LCSW license required Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively as well as to organize tasks.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team until collaborate across disciplines and programs. Knowledge of substance abuse issues including features of alcohol and various drug abuse signs and symptoms, intervention strategies, awareness of associated medical concerns.
Individual, family, and group therapy skills.
Ability to conduct clinical interviews and assess mental status.
Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for local and regional travel

POSITION OVERVIEW

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide individual and group therapeutic services to individuals with behavioral health concerns aimed at assisting them in achieving their life role goals and maintain overall wellness.
Provision of services that are OASAS and SAMSHA compliant and in line with standards of care.
Maintain collaborative and compliant documentation that meets OASAS/SAMHSA and organizational expectations.
Actively participate on an interdisciplinary team.
Participate in person-centered treatment planning, including risk assessment and crisis planning.
Provide DSM diagnostic assessment and treatment plan and make appropriate recommendations and referrals and document in accordance with regulatory agencies and policy and procedures.
Conduct regular collateral follow up with treatment partners as clinically indicated.
Work closely with clients to reach an agreement on formal treatment plan that address mental health co-morbidity treatment, including improving adherence to recommended treatment.
Evaluate and provide therapeutic interventions in individual, and in group sessions, using evidenced-based practices.
Complete all paperwork requirements and statistical reporting to ensure program compliance with applicable intergovernmental oversight agencies.
Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and workshops, in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
All other duties as assigned by the director and clinical supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous relevant experience in a Mental or Behavioral Health environment required.
Master's degree in social work or an equivalent related field (i.e. LMHC, LMFT ) required
License or limited permit in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or an equivalent related field required within 6 months of employment.
Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
