Outpatient Counselor II staff responsibilities:
Completing comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements and preparing individualized, developmentally appropriate treatment plans
Providing individual and group counseling and educational programs in accordance with treatment plans
Documenting treatment and discharge plans and clients' progress and responses to treatment, as well as maintaining related records and charts
Performing case management and contributing to client care monitoring
Caseload typically includes some complex cases requiring more intensive services
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and life experience, with a minimum of 100 hours of documented clinical training in counseling theory and practice required
Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC) or higher licensure (LPC, LSW) in state of hire required
Minimum 2 years of previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling required
Related work experience with program specific population (adolescent/adult) and outpatient treatment setting required
Outpatient Counselor III staff responsibilities:
Maintains complex caseload, including conducting comprehensive assessments, preparing individualized treatment plans. Maintains regular contact with insurance providers to report client treatment progress and obtain required certifications for continued stays. Reports caseload activities and progress to supervisor.
Prepares and conducts group counseling or therapeutic encounter sessions to address specific social or psychological issue to promote the development of effective life skills to support a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
Prepares and conducts individual counseling sessions to assist dual-diagnosis clients with overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making life changes.
Develops and implements complex treatment and discharge plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues; and conducts intensive or comprehensive interventions (family or domestic violence counseling, etc.).
Designs, implements, and integrates intensive service programs for the site to address particular social or psychological problems affecting portion of client population, e.g., domestic violence, sexual assault, grief, etc.
Serves on variety of department or site committees necessary to plan and evaluate treatment programs and client services. Develops and contributes to improvement of treatment protocols, procedures and outcomes.
Documents treatment plans, narrative progress notes, interventions, treatments, evaluations, discharge summaries, and treatment plan reviews. Maintains client records and charts to ensure organizational, regulatory, accreditation, and contractual standards.
Serves as a professional resource to clinical team by auditing client records to ensure compliance with required documentation and service delivery; provides assessments of special needs clients; and consults with clinical staff to resolve complex case problems by implementing case-appropriate procedures, modalities and techniques.
Develops and conducts in-service and continuing education programs on subjects related to assigned specialty for other Counselors or Technicians.
Performs other duties as they might be assigned, including providing clinical supervision to clinical team as needed.
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, substance use disorder counseling or related field
Minimum of two (2) years counseling experience in the substance use disorder field or mental health field
Current LPC or LSW valid in the state of Illinois
Physical Requirements:
Ability to speak with others in order to exchange information and provide counseling.
Ability to record and proofread information on forms and charts.
Ability to respond to telephones and pages, and hear speech.
Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data on a regular basis.
Compensation (based on experience and credentials):
Counselor II: $25.64 - $32.28 per hour
Counselor III: $51,463-82,330 annually

To work closely with the Event Childcare Coordinator in executing the schedule and curriculum of the classroom. Maintain control and have full responsibility for the classroom. Greet and communicate with parents in relation to their child.
This is a part-time position and this position is not a part of the James River Weekday Preschool.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Classroom Duties:
Function as Room leader or Assistant leader as directed.
Make sure the room is clean, stocked, and in order.
Always leave the room better than you found it.
Oversee the classroom (keep class on the schedule, make sure diapers are changed, that kids go to the bathroom, etc.).
Implement the schedule/curriculum in your classroom.
Assist parents with dropping off or picking up children.
Comply with all James River Kids' Policies and Procedures.
Two workers must be present in a room, at all times, including during regular childcare and events.
Injuries must be immediately reported to the Coach or Coordinator.
You are Security!!
Make sure each child has a computer-generated name tag and that parents fill out the sign-in sheet upon arrival to your class. List any allergies clearly.
At pick-up, verify that the number on the parent claim tag and the child's sticker match.
Please contact the Coordinator/Coach if there are any questions or issues.
Use the sign-in sheet in the room for attendance. Add any additional notes on the whiteboard on the wall. Add and subtract kids as they come and go. Sign-in sheets must always be with you if your class travels.
Dress Code:
A James River staff badge must be worn at all times.
Clothing must be modest, clean, and appropriate for childcare. Pants worn below the knee are required.
Absenteeism:
Contact the Coordinator as soon as possible if you are sick and unable to work.
Time off should be requested two weeks in advance of the absence.
If absenteeism is affecting your ministry team, a meeting will be scheduled with the Event Childcare Coordinator and the Early Childhood Director.

Preferred Experience:
Experience working with youth and families, particularly in community or home-based settings, is strongly preferred
Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies
Therapy with children and adults using cognitive-behavioral techniques ·
Couples therapy using behaviorally based approaches ·
Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's natural ecology (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood) ·
Collaboration and partnership with community agencies ·
Previous work providing in-home or community-based therapy services
Additional Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client's homes and possibly transport multiple clients at once
Must reside within a 30-45 minute radius of Nixa, Missouri
Must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve (training will be provided).
Experience working with youth and families, particularly in community or home-based settings, is strongly preferred.
Prior experience with evidence-based models or juvenile justice populations is a plus.

As a Family Therapist, your primary responsibility is to assess, diagnose, and treat clients based on their individual needs. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling in various settings to meet clients' treatment goals.
* Complete intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within designated time frames according to state regulations.
* Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments.
* Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the client's unique needs and evolve based on ongoing information.
* Participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings, providing valuable feedback on cases.
* Document all services rendered in compliance with state regulatory standards.
* Assist clients through the transition process, ensuring comprehensive correspondence such as summaries and plans are completed.
* Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to ethical guidelines and agency policies.
* Handle crisis situations as they arise, providing emergency services when necessary.
* Facilitate group counseling, education, and specialty services, including trauma and co-occurring therapy.
* Provide professional supervision to individuals in training once qualifications are met.
* Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
* Must possess at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
* Holds licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
* Must be willing to become licensed in additional states beyond the current licensure.
* Willingness and comfort with providing telehealth services to individuals we serve (training will be provided).
Additional Qualifications:
* Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance are required.
* Successful completion of background checks, including criminal records and driving history.
* First Aid certification must be completed within three (3) months of employment.
* CPR certification must also be obtained within three (3) months of employment.
* Behavioral management training should be completed within thirty (30) days of employment.
* Must provide a copy of applicable certifications/licenses upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
* ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during the work shift.
* Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
