Responsibilities:
Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas.
Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs.
Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
Creating genuine rapport with our guests and catering to all galley requests in an efficient manner.
In addition to the routine Dishwasher duties, Dishwashers may be required to perform other functions, such as greeting guests upon embarkation, and providing assistance during special events including but not limited to afternoon teas and snacks and participate in evening entertainment.

Qualifications:
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder. You must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks. Employees must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking.
Under Federal Law and the Department of Transportation, we are required to pre-employment drug test all shipboard employees which includes testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances. To provide safe and conscientious service to our guests, the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited. All shipboard employees also have emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship that are included in your training.
American Cruise Lines has grooming standards that include limitations on visible tattoos and piercings. This is a temporary employment position not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work. This position is eligible for a one hundred dollar bonus per quarter when working an average of 35 hours per week over the course of the entire quarter. This bonus is paid in the first pay check after the end of the quarter.
Essential Functions
Check for proper detergent levels, rinse agent levels, and water temperatures at the beginning and through out the shift
Follow proper procedures on running items through the dish machine.
Correctly stack and store dishes, glasses, and flatware to avoid contamination from improper handling.
Maintain dish room cleanliness and a dry floor at all times.
Keep guest and employee restrooms clean and stocked.
Keep outside areas of restaurant clean including cleaning up litter, clearing walkways, removing snow, and other general maintenance duties.
Work well with others and assist fellow team members as needed.
Standing and/or walking 100% of time and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
Working in temperatures that may exceed 90 degrees or below 30 degrees.
Team members are also required to perform other tasks as directed by a supervisor.

Job Description
The Kitchen Steward (dishwasher) is responsible for the tasks assigned by the Steward Assistant, Executive Steward, Chef De Cuisine, and Sous Chef. Insure “Wet Floor” signs and other markers are used.
The Diswasher (Steward) will make sure kitchen workers have and use the proper equipment necessary for the job (gloves, goggles, chemicals, etc.).
Insure that all equipment functions properly.
The Diswasher (Steward) will always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive professional image.
Assist in training all kitchen workers in all aspects of safety.
The Diswasher (Steward) will train kitchen personnel on proper chemical usage and safety applications.
Maintain the levels and standards of cleanliness and safety set by Ameristar Casino St. Charles and the Health Department.
The Diswasher (Steward) will have the ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a cart weighing a maximum of 50 lbs on occasion.
Qualifications

1 (one) year kitchen cleaning experience.

What will you do?
Using hands or a dishwasher to clean dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, ensuring all sanitizer levels on dish machines and pot sinks are at the specific requirements for health standards
Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
Clean work area including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area, keeping the kitchen wares storage organised
Remove trash from the dish room and transport it to the dumpster, as well as clean and sanitize the garbage cans

General Job Responsibilities
Quality Control
Provides leadership and direction to employees
Always practices and maintains sanitary and safe food handling procedures.
Smiles and displays a positive attitude and is attentive to guests needs.
Maintains a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation and surrounding area, sweeping floors throughout the shift, and stocking all necessary supplies.
Assists team members as needed.
Properly uses chemicals when cleaning and complies with MSDS regulations
Maintains an excellent personal appearance by following Winking Lizard uniform guidelines and personal hygiene standards by being in clean uniform prior to the start of each shift.
Monitors ticket times throughout the shift and informs management of issues when necessary.
Winking Lizard is a non-smoking establishment and abides by the Ohio Smoke-free Workplace Act for both guests and employees. Employees are not permitted to smoke in or around the building, while on the clock or on break.
