Exercise Physiologist Job Responsibilities: Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidity and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review. Reviews Individual Treatment Plans. Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient. Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation. Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation. Supports additional projects and duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or Kinesiology. BLS within 6 months of start date. Must be from the AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION. American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) required upon start for Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab Programs.
