Work is reviewed through employee observation, facility inspection written and oral reports. Assist in the implementation of aquatic programs and special events. Accurately and courteously interpret and explain operational and programmatic rules, regulations and fees to guests; ability to firmly and tactfully enforce or refer enforcement to proper authorities. Ensures general safety, cleanliness, and appearance of assigned aquatic amenities including waterpark or pool areas, restrooms, showers and concession areas when able to do so without distractions from lifeguarding responsibilities. Assists in performing general pool maintenance including, but not limited to, vacuuming and brushing e pool cleaning the tile, emptying skimmer baskets, and performing minor maintenance on pool mats, Assists in performing general facilities maintenance including, but not limited to, pressure cleaning, and picking up trash and debris. Performs routine water management tests to ensure water quality at the assigned aquatics facility or facilities. Assists in the collection and coordination of revenues as assigned. Participate in practice drills simulating emergency situations. Performs work related to this job description as required. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Must be at least 16 years age or older. Additional qualifying education and/or experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted one for the other on a year for year basis. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess certifications in Lifeguarding, First-Aid, CPR (Adult, child and infant), AED and Oxygen Administration within 30 days of employment (certifications offered on premise). Work is performed under the general direction of a supervisor who reviews work through conferences, examination of reports, observation of work results, and equipment performance. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in Electronics OR completion of a two (2) year technical/vocational electronics program OR 1,000 hours of military training in electronics; minimum of two (2) years of experience in electronics. Equivalency: Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification and four (4) years of related experience. PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Internet Protocol (IP) based CCTV systems, access control, audiovisual, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and work order systems (must specify on application).
