RESPONSIBILITIES * Operates grinding mills and associated machinery from computer system. * Cleans control room and immediate area. * Assists and directs Mill Oiler in housekeeping and lubrication * Keeps operating records. * Changes equipment settings and operating parameters as directed, or as needed per system conditions. * Checks process flow of raw mill and finish mills. * Visual inspections of belts, guards, catwalks, handrails, and additional process and safety equipment. * Operates bobcat loader and lift truck. * Assists with kiln repairs when needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Must be able to climb ladder of 20-50' in height. * Must be able to be on your feet 8-12 hours a day on concrete. * Must be able to use shovel, broom, and wheelbarrow for housekeeping. * Must be able to climb stairways of 50' in height. * Must be able to understand and speak clearly over telephone and base radio unit. * Must be able to read gauges and keep accurate records of operating procedure. * Must be able to wear respirators. * Must be able to carry 5-gallon buckets of oil weighing 40-50 lbs. for lubrication purposes. * Must be able to work in confined spaces and below ground level. * Must be able to read and understand operating manuals for mobile equipment operated. * Must be able to operate jackhammer weighing 40 lbs. sometimes in overhead positions. * Must be able to work rotating shifts MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * High School Diploma or Equivalent WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain).
