Responsibilities: The facility EHS Lead is responsible for building a site culture with an unconditional stance on safety and environmental compliance. The EHS Lead will manage all aspects of the development, implementation, and evaluation of SIF and critical safety programs along with other health and Environmental processes/programs/procedures to achieve and maintain a zero-injury environment. Key objectives will include identifying, eliminating, and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. Use and application of safety standards, best practices, and analytical techniques along with behavior-based safety programs is essential. The successful candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and apply technical abilities to engage employees at all levels of the organization to develop and sustain a world-class safety and environmental program. Regularly review and update risk assessments to reflect changes in operations and maintain compliance with evolving standards. * Conduct timely and thorough EHS incident investigations including matters of workers' compensation. This includes troubleshooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvement, assist with documentation and training for all equipment and other duties as assigned. The Electrician is expected to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: 4 years of experience working in industrial (or comparable) Electrical maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Steel Mill electrical maintenance Demonstrated understanding of Power concepts. Demonstrated understanding of Automation technologies.
