    Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Controls Manager in the Central Division based out of Des Moines Iowa or Kansas City Missouri. The primary duties of this role include troubleshooting and maintaining the PLC controls for all PLC-controlled plants in the region and assisting plants in coordinating contract or in-house electrical repairs and upgrades related to the plant controls. The Controls Manager will also actively research potential upgrades and fine-tuning to the existing plant controls to find more efficient means of operating the plant to gain capacity, consistency, availability, improve reporting, etc. A typical day for a Controls Manager may include: * Leading by example on all Martin Marietta safety rules/procedures and MSHA compliance standards and ensure that all employees are following established safety policies and procedures. * Leading skilled-trade support staff and contractors to meet daily plant Automation needs. * Coordinating all in-house Automation repairs and upgrades, including those related to plant controls for mining operations. * Actively researching potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune existing plant to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reporting. * Working closely with engineering group and outside contracted vendors to meet deadlines and complete capital improvement projects. * Troubleshooting and supporting existing automated systems including but not limited to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Operator Interface Terminals (OIT). * Providing troubleshooting and startup assistance for new projects. * Using and maintaining standards developed by Automation Engineering. * Supporting existing systems via a 24/7 on-call rotation with other automation support personnel. * Supporting local electricians. You may be a good fit if you meet the following requirements: * Adherence to Martin Marietta, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times. * Highly skilled at troubleshooting 120V AC and 24V DC control systems. * Have 3Ph/480 electrical troubleshooting experience. * Have experience working on and troubleshooting 4-20ma or I/O ling, full voltage starters, VFDs, and soft starts. * Have experience troubleshooting O/T networking including TCP/IP (layer 1 issues, pings andamp; network scans) and using industrial protocols such as PROFINET, Ethernet IP, and Modbus TCP * 8+ years electrical troubleshooting experience required * 2 years PLC Control Work. * Ability to travel overnight 20-30% of the time with flexible work hours as needed. * Experience working on level detection sensors, scales, VFDs, and soft starts. * The ability to work in a variety of environments. * General understanding of the plants and how they operate or motivation to gain that knowledge. * Must be a person with the ability to work with people at different levels and train people. * A valid US driver's license Preferred Experience: * Troubleshooting of O/T networking including TCP/IP, PROFINET, Ethernet IP, and Modbus TCP. * Programming and troubleshooting Wonderware software * Troubleshooting of Modbus UA and Device net networks. * 2-year technical degree in electrical technology, plc programming or comparable experience. * Aggregate or Mining experience is preferred. * Experience leading a team is preferred. Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Welder/Mechanic at the underground mine in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing and installing equipment for our underground and surface mining operations. Essential Functions * Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture * Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists * Inspect equipment for signs of wear * Collaborate with team members to repair move machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas * Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards * Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes * Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment * Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed * Work in a team environment * Clean work areas * Proper wear of personal protective equipment * Notify supervisors of needed repairs Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.
