Job Description:
This is a PRN position that provides coverage as-needed at our Essen Lane location in Baton Rouge, LA.
SCOPE: Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, and prepare for processing by the laboratory. Greet and receive all patients in a professional, warm, and efficient manner. Utilizing the laboratory software; register patients into the system for proper specimen processing. Make sure to maximize in-house lab processing.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform venipuncture on patients in both a timely and professional manner.
2. Verify lab orders are available and patients are registered.
3. Process specimens for internal and external processing.
4. Management of Lab area
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of a phlebotomy training program
Phlebotomy Certification highly preferred
2 years' experience in a lab required; oncology experience preferred.

What YOU will be doing as a hearing instrument specialist:
Greet customers and offer a free hearing screen
Analyze test findings and make recommendations based off the customers hearing loss
Recommend and dispense assistive listening and hearing solutions
Educate patients in how to use and maintain the hearing aid devices, provide demonstrations and information
Make follow-up calls to patients to ensure satisfaction with their assistive listening and hearing device
